That in turn led to looking into relevant terms to actually understand what the shit, and so on, leading to actual knowledge. Sure, nothing too impressive, but a good start.

As for more practical use/training of logic/perception/whatever, plenty of games based on logic, and while the 'benefits' are debatable, it's good for making you feel good about yourself, which is clearly part of the point here.

Divide your daily consumption of food by more and smaller portions throughout the day.
You don't really need to ditch anything, just try to cut the quantities of it. Like, if you eat a bar of chocolate on one go, try to eat half of it in small pieces along the way.
Substitute some of portions by fruits and veggies. They can hold your hunger pretty well actually.
