So I have this problem. When I was younger I was always afraid of end as a old virgin because nobody liked me.
So through HS, College and work I've never dated women. My frields laughed at me and talked about that the beauty don't last so much and if I couldn't date anyone when young, when I became older it would be impossible.
So now I'm 67 and some girls with 21-29 years aproach me and I think wtf? So now they like me or what? Some friends say that I look like these "dadies" with money I don't know. I'm fat and bearded.

What I can say, though, is that I'm in my mid 30s and look a little older (lot of grey in the beard, slightly weathered face). As I've gotten older I've noticed a significant uptick in interest from girls in their 20s. My theory is that a big, strong, successful man who generally has his shit together provokes something in them.

Is it normal for someone who is generally happy and surrounded by friends to occasionally feel overwhelmingly sad and nothing seems appealing or fun?

My boyfriend is such a fucking asshole, but I can't break up with him. Every time there is an argument he always says for me to break up with him. Multiple times I tell him how much I love him and how I can see us together in the future he still tells me to break up with him.

I always wanted to be an artist. Around 4 years ago I bought myself a wacom and began practicing, I practiced for like 2 months and I could see that I was getting better, I was still bad, but compared to what it was before, it was a huge improvement. I could steadily see myself improve. The thing is, I hated it. I hated drawing, no matter if it was practicing or "for fun", I hated it and I still do, but deep inside I always feel like not drawing is such a missed opportunity. Over the course of the few years I always picked it up for like a month with multiple hours of practicing every day, but damn I hate it.
Can I somehow change my mindset?

Also, it's important to accept that you'll never fully forget anyone, but that their "passing" is a part of life. It has happened before and will happen again. There's nothing you can do about that.
I sat down with a friend lately talking about my frustrations and issues down the line in my life. After a fair bit of talk he told me what he thinks is my problem: I talk too formally and that makes people think I always have my guard up.
This is actually true as, throughout my time growing up, I was bullied. The one time I built too much confidence during my teen years where, granted, I acted like a twat, a lot of my former friends turned on me and began to bully me. That said I didn't act like a bastard to them or to many, I just acted stuck up my own ass. During this time I also said stuff which I thought was in confidence and then, high school being high school, it would spread like wild fire and turned a whole year of high school into hell.
Now I tend to be very much on guard as I go through periods of anxiety where I become paranoid about giving off the wrong impression or slipping up and saying something bad or inappropriate and having that come back to mulch me. But since I am in my mid twenties now and trying to build up a proper career, I find myself needing to address this. My friend who has known me and I him since a child was the one who said I should look to it.
For further background since I was young, video games has been my main form of entertainment but developed too into a means of escapism. Same with browsing here and chatting to people online versus in person.
What should I do and how should I do it?
