Sure. It's just obviously a lot harder. Financial aid is a thing if you can't afford classes. So are student loans.
I'm the same way. I've been paying for college entirely out of my own pocket so far. I pay for my own phone, insurance, internet, food, phone bill, gas, car maintenance, etc. etc. I work full time @ 40 hours and was going to school full time (13-15 credit hours per semester) for the past two semesters.

I just turned 18 and am starting uni next fall, but I am really worried. From a psychological side of depression, I don't know anything so I'm probably not the best person to listen to. However, I'm sure these feelings can be helped by changing your life around.
How is your life in general? Do you have good relationships with people, do you ever feel lonely, do you have self-fulfilling hobbies, etc. ? If there are gaps in your life that you can identify, then you should really get those sorted. If not, then I feel like it's a lot tougher to consider.

I don't really have any hobbies, I am going to get a gym membership this weekend. I had an identical twin who died shortly after birth, maybe there's some kind of psychological fuckery happening there. I have a few friends from school, I would consider them close though. Well OP, I don't have any science to back this blanket statement up, but from talking to a good number of people from a good number of places I have reached the conclusion that yes, in some way, we are all weird as fuck and we are all crazy as fuck. Pretty much everyone's weirdo, man. Some more than others. Some are also just more open about it than others. The truth is, most people just rein it in around other people just because it may not be "socially acceptable" or you might get some weird looks from others for doing some weird stuff.
Just don't worry about it, dude. It is what it is. It's not always be evident, but everyone's pretty weird when they're completely alone because there's no one to judge or care about it. It's not about wearing a mask, it's about keeping some of your quirks to yourself (and maybe some really close friends) to keep from making others feel weird or something.

I started the Starting Strength routine a while back but I really lack in my squats, I can never seem to get them right. Which leads me to my question, what are some ways I can practice getting the motions correct before I fuck myself up in a squat rack? Someone in the gym recommend that I should practice with either with a box or a bench with the rack, but the mental image of doing that gives me that gym anxiety thought of everyone looking at me. This is a smaller gym too.

I would never believed I could do squats. My gym has this "machine" which is basically a bar isolated on a track so it runs up and down on a perfect vertical. I have no idea what it's called, but it's what me and my gym buddy do squats on and he says he likes it better than free squats because it allows you to get lower without having to worry about the bar getting away from you.
Maybe find one of those.
Practice at home without any weights. Watch a video to see proper form. Be very mindful of your posture and think about what you're doing while you're doing. Squats are pretty easy to get the form down on.
You don't need to be squatting like 200 lbs either as a beginner. Hell you can squat 100 lbs to start. With all exercises getting the proper motion down is incredibly important to prevent injury. So practicing form with really light weight or no weight isn't something strange. Everyone starting out should do it.
The box squat does help with form and is a common exercise. However I have long legs and that form doesnt allow me to get parallel. Getting parallel (or even slightly lower) iis crucial to develop all the muscles. Dont attempt bigger weight and sacrifice form. THAT is an amateur move.
