The power of now by Eckhart tolle is a great book to help you separate over thinking from necessary thinking
It helps you clear your head and rationalise and helps you understand why you read so much into everything.
I thought it sounded lame and useless cause stuff like that never worked for me but this book really did, a year later and I've let go of so many things I'd thought myself into a corner with and haven't created any more problems due to overthinking and over analysing things/people.
Maybe give it a try. If you ever want the thinking to shut up a good question to ask yourself is "what will my next thought be?" you may feel stumped for some moments but at least you'll get a break from your head.
Also, next time you feel you are overthinking something you should allow the thoughts, try to separate your emotions from the situation and simply don't let the original thoughts escalate, don't feed anything negative etc

So I'm a postgrad and today I got a new seminar tutor for one module I'm taking. She's this super cute, mid/late 20-ish blonde prof, with a sunny disposition and a good sense of humour. During my first class, she asked me a question and I blushed like a fucking tomato, so I guessed she's kinda aware I've got a thing for her. The thing is, I saw that she's wearing an engagement ring. Anyways, last couple of seminars, the ring is gone. Also, during one of the classes, my phone started vibrating and she chuckled and smiled at me as I struggled to turn it off. Today, the seminar broke off and everyone parted ways, I was the first to leave the room as I had to give back a chair I'd taken from downstairs. She followed me down the stairs to go off to her office. I looked back, and she stared at me with a kind of inquisitive gaze, like as if she was waiting for me to do something. Like the beta faggot that I was, I didn't, so that's that. Normally she hangs about class talking to my colleagues.
tldr; I've got a thing for my seminar tutor and I want to know if these tell-tale signs I mentioned are worth considering, or just the product of my imagination.

Is it stupid to throw all my chips on producing music? Listen, you need to understand that 4 years is a long ass time, people change, motivations change, we evolve and learn new things.
Over these 4 years you probably changed, maybe you're more attractive, maybe you made changes to hygiene or workout. Maybe you are more intelligent, maybe you are more social than you used to be.
Why am I telling you this? Well because you have changed, she has changed. Maybe her ideals oh her boyfriend has changed, maybe her continued exposure to you has changed her feelings for you.
