I was prescribed terbinafine for a fungal toe nail. After 2 months on the drug my toe nail was hanging off. It just stopped growing at the base.
The nail bed is now exposed. I went to a nurse yesterday and she ripped it off and dressed it. Telling me to keep the dressing on for 3 days. I will get it dressed again Monday and see a doctor Tuesday.
How fucked am I? It seems Like there is a little bit of new nail growing at the base but honestly I was so grossed out by it that I didn't want to look at it.

Your best bet is to go to a therapist. You'll probably go through cognitive behavioural therapy and They'll make you do some sort of exposure where you start off just saying hi to random people or asking for the time, and then add you get more comfortable they'll make you do incrementally scarier social stuff like having conversations and purposely embarrassing yourself. Quite frankly you can do this on your own as well but you'll have to keep doing it

Therapists usually charge on a sliding scale, and there's probably free support groups in your city somewhere. I highly recommend checking them out because it's much easier getting through this with people helping you.

I would contact the company to ensure your info and beneficiary status are correct.
They are a business. If your aunt has an executor contact them, and if there are any other monies or items willed to you ensure the executor knows this.

Its just all really awkward for me, I don't really know them well, and I don't want to sound like I'm hounding them. Another one of my aunts passed away last year and when she died people swarmed from the woodwork to get money that wasn't there. I guess this is different because I talk to my aunt that passed away about this, and this is something she wanted to give us.

Ok /adv/, I'm a 23 year old graduate who has a BS in Atmospheric Sciences from a fairly well known University in the west coast. I'm thinking about taking my skills and joining either the Coast Guard or the Air Force as a officer. I know that I will have to go through OCS for a few months and it will be a difficult process. Can anyone give me advice on what I should do?

Retired USAF MSgt here. You will get great benefits and as an officer. You can retire at twenty years and never have to work again. Let that sink in. You get the last third or half of your life to fuck off as you wish. The officer corps is a great human network.
You'd be a fool if you didn't do it. Look at retired officer pay tables then do the math on the other benefits. It's a tasty total.
I suggest choosing a program which will never end. You can look for shortage specialities with long futures extending past your uniformed career. Then if want you can work for the Federal government, the military as a civilian, or for a DoD contractor down the road.
