My first job was in a supermarket, I worked in several departments in my time there and it sucked but that's normal.
Then I got what I thought was my dream job in an office doing web development but I hate it just as much as the supermarket (partly because of the people I guess).
I'm scared that regardless of what job I take I will hate it.
It scares me more than anything else in the world because the thought of spending 8+ hours a day dealing with shit I just don't care about seems like the most miserable existence you can have.
It scares me that when I talk with other people about this they just shrug and say something along the lines of "everyone hates work, just focus on the paycheck".
I don't care about the pay and I'm not a lazy NEET who opposes the idea of working completely, I just want a job that's satisfying.
Unfortunately the only things I find satisfying are writing stories and jacking off which aren't exactly high demand fields at the moment.
I'm trying to get good at art so I can convey my stories/support myself with commissions but art careers aren't very stable so my hopes aren't high.
Any advice?
tl;dr: Hated past jobs, hate current job, scared that I'll hate every job I take. Hoping to support myself with art but that will take years, is there something I can do to find a suitable career?

Too many people fall for the "follow ur dreams man" mentality and forget that their bank account doesn't give a fuck about their dreams.
If you pursue what you are passionate about as work, it loses the joy. I've experienced it and seen it.
Like the previous poster said, you work to live. Find something bearable, but realise that there are always negatives to work. I focus on the positives to make each job bearable. Shit job had some decent co-workers. Shit job now means I work online--I can wear pajamas if I want and I get to live anywhere. See-positives among the garbage.

I've been learning Spanish for half a year now. I've been learning at a much faster pace that I expected, but now I am thinking about switching to another language.
The story is this. I've always wanted to learn a new language but I didn't have the opportunity to do so during secondary school. Back then, I would have probably picked French, German, or Japanese. During high school, I met an online friend who happens to be Spanish and we ended up talking every day. At uni, I had the opportunity to pick whatever I want as a new language for fun and the beginner courses here have a reputation for being easy to get good grades. I picked Spanish as I simply have someone to practice with and I think having a language buddy will definitely help me to become fluent in a language.
I ended up enjoying studying the Spanish language very much and I made surprisingly fast progress by myself. I love the way Spanish sounds. However, I do realise that I did initially pick a language because "I have some online friend who speaks that language". I don't have a crush on him (I am a girl btw), yet I think this is kind of a ridiculous reason to pick a language to learn and will lead to assumptions from other people and I do not want that. The truth is I wasn't particularly interested in Latin American culture and I dont have any plans to travel there (I am from Asia - Latin America is so far away and ky parents will not be willkng to pay for the flight tickets anyway).
I self-learned a bit of French, yet I didn't like French as much as I do not like the way it sounds. I think switching to another language may be a good idea as I dont want my online friend to think that I have feelings for him while I don't. However, I do realise that if I learn French, German, or Japanese, I will not have a language buddy and finding a language buddy who you can talk to all the time is not that easy.
Whatever language I pick is unlikely to affect my career prospects.
Get really good at Spanish rather that so-so at a bunch of languages.

I'd say this. I switched languages a lot. I learned Portuguese as a kid, learned Latin in my tweens or so, and then picked up Japanese at the end of high school.
I never had anyone to talk to in those languages, and now I've forgotten almost everything. I can barely translate anything, let alone converse. All my linguistics teaching has pretty much been for naught.
If you don't use it, you'll forget it. Stick with a language you have an opportunity to use. If you're in the US, there's plenty of spanish speaking population that will make it the most useful of the languages you have picked.
Don't be like me. You have a good basis, use it. If you want to pick another language, I say do it after you become fluent, and make yourself trilingual. That's a valuable, useful, and sought-after skill, and if you pick languages that are desired, you can put it on your resume to great effect.

Is it just me, or are sports dumb as fuck?? I might be preaching to the choir, here. I mean, I played sports as a kid and it was a fine way to meet/hang out with kids and use my time positively when I was in school. After school, though, I really see no fucking point in sports. Yes, the typical take-away is supposed to be "teamwork is key", but we all know that the majority of people playing sports are there to win and/or look cool. I'm also thoroughly convinced that the older someone participating in sports is, the more likely it is that they're just trying to avoid doing anything "real" with their life and love living like a grown up 17 year old. You might disagree, but I think having intense interests in any of the most basic, instinctual areas (athletics, sex, food) makes someone as dumb as a rock. Being good at kicking balls and running puts you like two notches above a fucking chimpanzee.

I'm 21, I never played sports as a kid because I was fat. I'm going to start this year though because there's not a lot you can really do in life that adequately simulate the shit humans would do in the wild e.g. fight, hunt animals with weapons and shit. It's like an outlet for natural shit humans are supposed to do. I think it would be good for me physically and mentally, so I'll do it as a hobby in addition to my other interests.

There's a whole bunch of different options when it comes to this, so the argument is weird. Don't like kicking balls and running? Do something else. Don't like team sports? There are individual sports too. Obviously in that variety there is something for almost everyone. Other than that they give you skills you wouldn't gain otherwise, keep you in good physical shape and challenge you both physically and mentally. As for the age argument, if you think there's anything else more badass than a 75-year-old acing a sport of his choice, then you're full of shit.

I don't disagree that some level of physical activity is good for you. I just think it's fucking ridiculous when people go to the gym or play a sport in order to look a certain way - to be the "fit person". It ends up being a really narcissistic obsession. Being fit beyond what is necessary just makes you a meathead, not to mention being gym-fit rarely actually means you're in shape.
Is it wrong of your employer to fire you for depression? I work fast food and my manager says I always look upset, even when I just have an idle face. I've had depression since I was 15, and am now 21.

If it affects their business then yes, of course they can. If however you're managing it and your performance is average or better then they probably won't.
My experience with employing people with depression is at some point their productivity will decline because they are usually very unreliable. I get rid of them ASAP after finding out.... and I always find out because of their high absentee rate and inability to meet performance targets on time and within budget.

How do I stop being so secretive? Or should I even stop that? I rarely talk with people about what I did, what I feel and things like that. I mostly talk about things we both were part of, jokes or interests (with exception to music, don't like talking about it). I honestly think if my sense of humour was worse I would stop talking with people at all. I'm pretty sure that people I know aren't sure of my sexuality cause I never say who is attractive to me. Even know I'm browsing in incognitto mode. I know it's not most secure way to browse but it still gives me some comfort.
