I'm wondering if the cut/bulk cycle thing is a meme or a must do. Here's my situation:

6 months of training, 6'1", 175 lbs
Goals:
1. Health
2. Looking good
3. Athletics (I play basketball)
4. Lifting tons of weight

Since I started training I've been doing a really slow cut. I'm probably at around 12-14% BF and really want to see my abs (I can see the top two when flexing). I want to stay lean cuz I think it looks a lot better and being fast (aka lean) is needed to play guard in basketball. I'm still making progress but I'm wondering what will be the long term effects of strength training at maintenance with about 8-10% BF.

Will I make 0 gains? Is bulk/cut just a meme and it'll be ok. Will it sorta work but not be as efficient as bulk/cut? Looking for info here. Please share sources if possible.

does it matter what the source of proteins/carbs/fat is to fit my macros?

is there a difference between getting all my calories from chicken, broccoli, rice and fish oil vs protein shakes and weight gainers (with low gi carbs)?

i'm getting enough of all of those, i was just wondering if there's a functional difference between let's say eating 150g worth of protein from chicken or 150g worth of protein from a protein shake. is one better than the other or is it all the same as long as it satisfies the daily macro requirement?

I'm suffering from vidya and porn addiction and struggling hard to break free
At best I manage 2 weeks without, then I relapse and hit it hard

No, you're not "addicted." Overcoming cigarettes is an addiction. Overcoming alcohol addiction is an addiction. Overcoming heroin addiction is an addiction. The difference here is that your body is actually physically dependent on these things and you'll go through withdrawal without them. That doesn't happen from porn.

Also I hold a degree in psychology, so don't even start with that "psychological addiction" shit. It's just loser talk for "I have no self control."

You have a few options:

1. Man up and just don't do it if it's so abd.
2. Continue to watch it because it doesn't really make a difference. It doesn't lower T levels, it doesn't make it harder for you to work out, it doesn't destroy your penis, and there's no evidence it makes you into a scat loving freak.
3. Just don't have the internet in your house.

But this whole "I'm a victim of my own lack of self control and it's an addiction" thing is stupid. Own up to your own behavior

I have buy blue black and gray crew neck sweaters from was mart at $7 per. Then I have one champion hoodie that was like $15.

Just buy some generic shorts that aren't flashy or too long. I picked up some black shorts with no logos or pockets for $10 each

I did but Nike shoes for $100 though because I love free runs, feels like walking on clouds

If you want shirts to work out in go buy bulk packs of white t shirts like Hanes for cheap

Just got a costco membership. Any must have products from there? So far I'm getting eggs, raw tortillas, frozen fruits and veggies, bulk greens, chicken, beef, and hot sauce. What else should I get? The only protein powder they had that was fairly clean was Orgain, but it was a pea based protein.

Any rehydration drinks you'd recommend?
