There is just too much information and too much of it out there that is conflicting.

I'm completely new to all this, want to lose fat and put on muscle, but without mass. As little mass as possible while still getting stronger.

Trying to find information is the most confusing shit.. And there's so many terms for the same things.. I have no problem working hard and having willpower but it comes to reading up on all this I just don't understand.

This is a serious, legitimate question. I joined BJJ last year, and on my second class ever I got paired up with a chunky chick that was a blue belt 2 stripes and she tossed me around (6'0 190lbs) pretty damn easy. She got me in a choke and I had to tap, and I think she was going easy on me. It bothered the hell out of me, knowing that there are women out there that KNOW they could beat the hell out of the vast majority of you gym rats. So fast forward a year, I'm now a white belt 4 stripes, nearing my blue belt, and would be able to handle myself against majority of Jiu Jitsu chicks. My ego is bigger than ever and men don't look at me the same anyone. I find I get a lot more respect everywhere I go.

The navy was lots of fun and i joined right after highschool. Honestly was great, I did save money and got to travel and made great friends the problem was that it was boring as shit. Most of my time was spent cleaning/sweeping. I got out to try college and then realized i fucking hate school and was bored out of my mind again. So now im going army and going to try a MoS thats way more intense and hands on/physical.

Which pill would you take?

For anyone here who travels for a lifting, I've learned how to stay in great shape while doing so.

Part of my job requires being gone and in a hotel M-Th and lots of wine-and-dining clients. I have around 30 drinks per week.

If you're like me and just can't give up the drinking for work (or because it's the only thing that gets you through work!) then make the switch to hard alcohol. I now drink vodka sodas, and that's been great.

Also, find small gyms. True, you can get a universal LA fatness card to work everywhere your client site is, but smaller ones are often cheaper and you can meet the owner. Developing that relationship helps motivate me to get into the gym when I was up till 2 am working on client facing slides the night before. LA fatness is also of varying quality in different regions.

Make it a routine and a hard line too. Tell your clients and boss that mornings before work are sacrosanct gym time.

That's my best advice, for anyone interested.

Hey fit skeletor here. I am only able to do lateral raises with 5kg dumbbells. Is this normal? What else can I do to improve this (besides, ofcourse, lateral raises)?

try going like twice as heavy and only doing one arm at a time, a little bit of body english/momentum is ok because the goal here is to progressively overload. don't stop doing the regular strict form ones, but throw in some heavy one arms so you progress
