Any other carinatums in here?
Working out doesnt help, I'm 26, is there any form of surgery I can do?
I'm considering suicide, already hit the gym for several years but it doesnt really hide it. What to do?
>>36655315
You could try not giving a fuck.
I have the opposite: Pectus Excavatum, so I can somewhat relate, but suicide is not the solution. A better solution would be to not give a fuck about how you look/what people say.
Yes there are surgeries, have you tried googling?
>suicide over how the chest looks
Damn son and there are people with no limbs or have funky dicks and you bitching
>>36655315
Surely there is a surgery for this.
I noticed I'm getting annoying eyelid twitches and don't get a good sleep when I run more than usual and lift. Are these symptoms of overtraining?
Sounds like symptoms of overiPhone in bed when you should be sleeping
>>36655308
Overtraining is a myth.
Under recovery is real.
Get more sleep.
this is a pretty common problem. Here's an instructional video with some helpful tips:

>do squats for the first time with significant weight
>walking is a struggle the next day
is this normal?
Yes.
You'll stop getting it after a while though.
>>36655265
Totally normal just make sure u take rest days between leg work outs you'll be fine
>>36655288
how much of a rest?
I have this 30 dollar walmart foam roller 18 inches. And it is okay, but It is kind of soft, I was wondering, are there better foam rollers? What is the best one for the price? Is it the harder the better? Any foam rolling success stories?
>>36655198
White is softest, blue is medium, black is hard.
You can get a black 18-incher (insert joke) from Amazon Basics for $11.xx
>>36655218
What is the best?

Daily maxing aka high itensity squatting is actually a thing and could make you progress??
What's the point of lifting for strength if this untrained monkey will always be able to deadlift 10x more than you just by eating plants all day?
So /fit/is body building really that expensive? Idk
>>36655023
depends
If you're nearly-pro or low-level pro paying for roids is a pain in the arse. But that's about it
>>36655023
>v6
>custom paint
SHIGGY
>>36655023
>get membership
>buy food
>buy whey shakes
no, it's cheap and probably the best thing you can do for your body
Hello /fit/
found this barbell set on local classifieds, thinking about buying it to train my fat little brother who's not old enough to go to the gym with me at home.
2x barbells
1x short barbell (is this considered a dumbbell?)
4x 10kg
4x 5kg
2x 2,5kg
6x 1,25kg
Total 72,5kg plus the bar should be 92,5kg, it should take a long time until he can outlift 92,5kg.
All things considered, 25€ plus fuel for 110km, is it worth it /fit/ ?
>it should take a long time until he can outlift 92,5kg.
What?
That's like almost default deadlift weight
Should take him a month or two tops to reach that, and then squat will be right after.
post your yfw when it's deadlift day

Lifting has always had a sense of stupidity associated with it. We hear about things like retard strength, all brawn no brain. The "chad" stereotype is considered stupid but still successful. Has this always been the case, where a fit body somehow equals a lesser mind, or is this a recent trend? It's also understandable why we'd think that way, why would you need a fit body if your brain is doing all the intelligent work? Just look at the stereotypical scientist. Not someone you'd considred big, or even fit.

>had me thinking that the greeks probably valued fitness much higher than we do in today's society
Yes and no.
Fitness for them was being fit for war. That's it. Just like athletes are respected, but lifters aren't nowadays.
Greeks would have made even more fun of you.
Why the fuck do you care what normals think?
They do nothing but work jobs, watch television and get drunk.
They spend an average of ZERO hours per week actually thinking anything through, 99% of what they say is just regurgitating what the TV said or anything they think will make them popular.
Why are you surprised that windup toys made out of meat have ideas that are retarded?
Why would you expect otherwise?

Nigger are you forgetting that the Olympic Games originated in Athens?

I don't get this meme
>some people talking about their shitty jobs they hate
>some guy in an anime tshirt (seriously, naruto tshirt in the gym) and one of those huge rapper caps walks over to the group and tells them to man the fuck up
>this guy is early 20's at most, the guys he's talking to are mid 20's to 30's

iron deficiency?
You probably need to be standing more, try to be standing for atleast the same amount of hours that you have slept. It helps if your job requires you to stand, sorry if your employer doesn't want you to have those posture gains.
>>36654243
I had this issue. I started sleeping 6 hours instead of 8 and that fixed it. You might be waking up in your REM cycle and that'll mess you up. Also stop smoking if you do.
