i have an ear infection (swimmers ear) and it is the most painful thing i have ever felt in my life
ive been to the doctor and she gave me ear drops that make it hurt even more when i put them in but i think thats normal
how can i make it stop hurting till the drops kick in?

I had an argument with my boyfriend on Saturday. It's kinda the first since we got back together in May. Anyway, I had said something stupid, I told him I meant nothing by it and was just overthinking. He dug into it and indirectly accused me of being dishonest and closed. This is kinda a big deal in our relationship, so it really hurt because not once have I been neither of those things. We left things on a bad note that night and he said we'd talk about it the day after, aka yesterday. He messaged me in the morning and we small-talked. He had been ill since Saturday, but said he'd go to work if he felt better in the afternoon. He usually works til 17 (5 p.m) and messages me. I didn't hear from him from 12 to 17 where he left some 3 weird nonsense. And from then on I didn't hear from him until 22, where I had gone to bed.
He said the app had crashed and he hadn't noticed the notifications.
I had left a lengthy message once again explaining my side. To which he just replied "ok, sorry I guess I overreacted but in my defense I was sick" and then continued making small-talk.
We were supposed to talk, which is something we hadn't done since God knows and the past few days, when I've waited for him, he'd message me asking if I was up to something, then not reply for 1-3 hours.
Wtf is going on here? At this point, I don't want him to come here, which he's supposed to this month. I'm so confused....
Can we get actual messages to analyze? Exactly what did you say? Details can be important in how someone reacts.

why do i suck at texting/calling back so much?

When I'm at work and a girl shows she might be interested in me, the best thing she can do is make abundantly clear. A lot of customers are "nice" or "friendly" while checking out with you or whatnot and then they snap back to their normal personality. Even if a girl is super flirty and seems into me, it's hard to tell. Some people are just that way when they're nice.
Basically, make it abundantly clear that you're into him. Ask really leading questions. Ask him when he's going on break and if he wants to talk for a bit, etc. etc.
Everyone feels uncomfortable trying to ask someone out at work, especially when you work there so just keep that in mind.
Just pass him your phone number next time. Like the above anon said, it's really hard to tell when people are being flirty while you're working and it's also fairly awkward to flirt with a customer when other people are around.

I don't think there's a league, per se. But there is, at the absolute least, a community around it, with its own relatively-famous figures. I'm not sure whether any of them make enough money from competitive eating to quit their day jobs, though.

So my wisdom tooth hurts, last I say the dentist like, 5-8 months he said it's not impacted and I have room for it so Ii can keep it. I'm gonna make an appointment to see him again but I wanted the opinion of others who might have had this.
It feels like it's trying to come out of the gum. The neighboring tooth hurts a little (I think) but most of it is coming from the gum. The gum over it is swollen, I can see one part of it were it's broken and I see the white of the tooth coming. Its not red, bleeding or spewing pus so I don't think it's infected. Oh. And the pain gives me a headache. I will be seeing the dentist, but have any of you kept your wisdom teeth and experienced days of pain as it came in?

Wisdom teeth are literally assholes just sitting in your mouth. I need mine removed (crowding) but can't afford the operation right now, but it's normal for the gum to become swollen and inflamed when the wisdom tooth is pushing against it.
And people wonder why babies cry when their teeth come in. Poor bastards.
From someone who has some experience working with dentists but no expert
Sounds like gum is infected. Pericoronitis is very common with wisdom teeth. They are a bitch to clean and keep clean when they erupt from the gum. Get some chlorhexidine mouthwash (warning, over use/ prolonged use can stain teeth which can be cleaned off by hygienist) and keep clean with brushing and flossing. See a dentist.
You may also be grinding from the stress/ pain if you are getting headaches (bruxisum, another common complaint) . Lessen stress in your life, do some jaw exercises and eat soft foods for a few days. May need a night-guard.

Thanks, it really doesn't look infected to me but I'm gonna see my dentist anyway. I have hydrogen peroxide that I usually wash my mouth with when I do have an infection, would that help?
I am just asking myself this question lately because a lot of stuff has happened, basically my standards for a woman are ridiculously high (could explain them but cbf) but I am a virgin, I am just wondering if I should "save myself" or just forget about that idea.

I've struggled with it on and off for like 7 years now, and I can't help but think that if it genuinely makes me feel better maybe I should just go with it

Well bulimia would be socially and medically acceptable if it was a good thing. So it's not a good thing. Its not healthy, but if you don't want to be healthy then don't do it, if you don't, whatever, just don't die lol
Honestly, it's worth giving up if you can but I've been struggling for years. No one knows but like you it makes me feel better and my body is trained to do it. It's fucked up what you can do to your body. But like anon has said its not healthy and it can kill you. Hopefully you don't binge and then you could have a stomach rupture. I've never binged so no problems there
I spent years with a partner with bulimia and it was fucking traumatic for me having to witness someone I loved slowly killing themselves, in the end I had to leave because it was causing me too much of my own pain dealing with it.
OP the only advice I have for you is to work on your issues whether it be body dysmorphia or something else with a good therapist because bulimia will not help it will only mask the actual problem until you eventually do permanent damage to your body or worse die.
I am somewhat a lonely guy.
Few years a go i was told to be charismatic, handsome even and funny. I was liked among the girls at the Uni. In a few years i have descended into depression and being sad. I moved to another country where i dont know anybody and i mostly spend my time on practising (i study classical music, master of music).

It sounds like you see yourself as worthless. I don't know you but you probably aren't, just the mental strain of changes has affected your view. Other people don't see you the way you see yourself.
