Is it weird that I asked my dad for advice about falling for people? He's really the only person in my family that I feel that I can be honest to when it comes to talking about things that have been stressing me out. After speaking with him about a crush I have on some guy it felt good to finally get that out of my system but then I started to regret doing so.

So I have a question. I'm in my mid 20's, and I have a bald patch on my pubic hair. I think I might be responsible for it, as I used to often itch the area in question and frequently ended up pulling hairs out. Some of the hairs in the area have also gone white. My question is this. Is there a way to regrow the hair, and encourage the follicles to start growing hair again? Would hair growth cream work?

If some of the hairs have gone white, it means that the skin itself was damaged (by your scratching I'm assuming) and that's why it grew back that way. I didn't know this happened with humans, but my friend's horse has this happen. He ran into a fence and got a scar, and his coat in that area grew back white instead of brown like the rest of him.
There might be a way to get the hair to grow back by proper skin creams, and then once the skin is healed, you could use creams, but the fact...

I'd start focusing on yourself first. First quit the cig habit (I'm proud of you for quitting weed) and start working out to get healthy and lose weight. See a psychiatrist to try different anxiety meds til you get one that works for your body. Keep up developing your interests, just so you have hobbies to look forward to. This in itself is a huge first step.
Once you seem to get your physical shit together and start to mentally rebuild, start taking some classes at community college for the sake of learning new things - not for the sake of going back to college. Just for learning new things and seeing what it's like to be around other people in a class setting again. Take stuff you never would have thought you'd be interested in. And if it turns out you really dislike a particular class, just drop it. No problem. CC classes are cheap anyway. So exploring your own interests through some classes is step two.
Step three is finding a part time job. Just some minimum wage type shit to make a little bit of your own money, and something that still gives you time to pursue a few classes but provides a distraction from schoolwork. Even try different jobs if you like. I worked at a cafe and then did some office assistant type shit once I got sick of food service. Try new things but be a good employee. Having a job will teach you new skills that school can't.
Step 4 is looking at your current life. See how you're doing. Acknowledge that you are now stable. Now you can begin to address where you want to go in life. You have proven to yourself that you can manage different settings: school, work, home life, etc. Now you can figure out what you want to do with yourself, whatever that may be. Maybe you want to go back to college. Maybe you want to find a job.
I should tell you that I wrote this >>16898358 based on the fact my story was the same as yours up til the 7 years part.
Switch that with 5 years and I'm now back in university. I still have bad days, but I'm functional again. I have hope for you too, anon, but you basically just have to put in a lot of work and try completely new things in order to get new perspectives. Try shit just for the sake of trying shit, because life can always get worse, and you need to find ways to make yours get better.

Scoliosis, can't help you there but definitely keep up with the working out all we can do is play the cards we're dealt.
As for accepting yourself as a whole: Do things you love, and get really good at them. Learn how to play music, learn how to build cool things, learn anything always learn and just be passionate about SOMETHING.
Don't worry, you are capable and deserving of love and being loved. True human connections blast right past all this surface level shit. You're gonna find that out for yourself someday, but in the meantime just try to picture it.

OP, I would say the point of living 1 year is the same as living a hundred years - to support and enrich the lives of the people around you, to foster as much love as possible. Make sure you say everything you need to say to the people in your life. If the worst really does come,take the opportunity to shed all of your inhibitions and insecurities and just crush it for a year straight. Do literally everything you ever wanted to do. See everything possible. Spend as much time with other people as you can.
