You've got to admit, Howa really is good at massages. You hadn't realised how tense and sore your muscles were until after she had worked her magic on them.
Considering your career, the “magic” part might have been literal, a discrete application of some healing power handed down from a kindly god....

Still, you can linger here, in the Nameless Temple, for a while longer. Tomorrow, Koa – your apprentice, even though you can't pinpoint the moment you began to think of him in that way – is set to fight his first formal duel. Calling it formal might be a stretch, though – he'll be fighting against a rival, one nursing an unhealthy grudge against him. You want to be there when they cross swords, to make sure the process goes smoothly if nothing else.
You feel Howa's warmth against your...

>Exciting is one way to put it. One of them took a poison we asked to be identified and tasted it right in front of us.

So I don't suppose anybody here remembers that former apprentice who is now serving the Seer? Soma, was it?
As promised, it's time for another exciting episode of the Unseen civilization!
But first, a quick recap of what we have so far.
>We are the Unseen. A race living in a massive underground cave. Physically weak and poor combatants, we're gifted diplomats and have a talent for illusion magic. Our cave opens up to a dense jungle.
>A group of cultists, worshipping the sun, escaped from our caves to live on the surface. We have since opened up diplomatic contact with them, and they don't seem...

We're playing this fast and loose, so I'm keeping the rules simple:
>Everyone is free to join, even if you haven't played in previous threads.
>Everyone is free to call out suggestions on how to spend the next turn.
>The first suggestion that gets three votes will be used.
>If there are several suggestions that appear to be equal, I'll either chose one at random or call for a tie-breaker.
>There's...

The ICC only works when you have already defeated the "evil"

Do vampires give birth to baby vampires in your setting /tg/?
If so, how are their feed? Via breast feeding or via biting their mother's neck?
>>46575795
Vampires shouldn't be able to feed off their own kind. Any setting where that's allowed is shit-tier automatically.
Vampmom can feed vampbabby with a bottle of blood, or drag in some unconscious human for them to feed off.
If birth was possible it must be quite a status symbol for a vampire to be able to claim he/her was born rather than turned.
I can imagine it would be quite a logistic challenge if you have to feed baby vampires with blood. Hell how are they going to bite necks before they have teeth?
>>46575795
Yes!
They feed with the mother vomiting food inside the childs mouth - usually blood. The Child will look like an ordinary human until it loses its first set of teeth that will be replaced by it's own fangs.
All the animals in your setting have been transformed into dinosaur version of themselves, including invertebrates and microbia. How does this affect your adventuring endeavours?
>>46590445
Complete ecological collapse. because insects and bacteria and shit have turned into dinosaurs.
>>46590445
Besides making no fucking sense
>>46590597
Happens
Well, everything dies pretty quickly.
Who would play your PC in the movie?
>>46589795
I don't have the faintest. Nobody of the "mainstream" actors for sure. They would have to either conscript some powerlifter / bodybuilder or B-grade porn actress.
>>46589795
Yeah, I think Kenneth Branagh works.
Plus it would be nice to add a bit of Shakespeare to a Rogue Trader´s bridge
>>46589795
Pic related for many of my characters.
Is it okay for a GM to create a GMPC who steps in and steals the spotlight from the PCs and does all of the stereotypical shitty GMPC stuff if that GMPC isn't always around and only exists to be completely destroyed by the BBEG in order to show how powerful he is?
>>46587998
no, its not okay.
Nah, it's still the players game.
You want to do that, have him assist in fights, be on simultaneous missions of greater importance and have people talk about how great he is/his actions are.
>>46587998
>Steals the spotlight from the PCs
If it's for like one short scene, it's fine. There is no good reason why they can't have a scene where they shine.
>Isn't always around
As long as you give good reasons why.
>killed by bbeg
As long as you can sell that it's because the bbeg is strong instead of this guy being a chump.
This my master plan for next session: A floating island got badly teleported and it got teleported under land surface. The only thing that sticks out is the tower on top of the temple. In order to enter the "dungeon", PCs should climb "the chimney" to enter "the dungeon".
What do you guys think? Any impression is welcome.
>>46586207
The PCs are teleported on the floating island and climb the tower to get to the surface? Or the other way around?
>>46586296
Island is teleported INTO the ground. All the PCs see is "chimney/tower".
What's the point of it being a floating island if it's not floating?
Thread: Personify a real-world nation as a specific fantasy race, what race would be more suited to that nation and what two primary classes or units would embody that country.
hardmode:One race per country
>Hey guys I swear we on /tg/ are all well adjusted mature people who take roleplaying seriously and univocally hate That Guys and shitters
>That out of the way, let's have a thread about stereotyping!
Goddammit.
>>46585854
A bald eunuch pulling nipple harness on a centauress who wears loin cloth on the wrong end? It's more likely than you think.
>>46585894
You know, many of the original depictions of centaurs weren't horses with half humans for heads, they were humans with the back of a horse for butts.
So, where does ruby go?
>>46583619
Is this a trick question?
Ideally it goes in the trash and C is definitely chaotic good. ASM is true neutral, as all other languages are relative to it. That or brainfuck, in that it exists simply because it can exist and does so without rhyme nor reason.
Where's COBOL?
>watch a cool movie
>immediately start thinking of all the ways you could work ideas from it into a campaign
Am I the only one that does this or what?
I do this all the time. I stole the idea behind the island from Lost for my Pathfinder campaign. They took control of it and were able to use it to travel around the world. Huge success.
>>46582605
There are GMs who don't do this?
You haven't noticed the deluge of "how to play/stat" threads we get around here every time there's a new Hollywood SciFi/fantasy blockbuster out?
There are a trillion elf subraces and interpretations, but dwarves are almost always gruff mountain miners with beards, ale, and Scottish accents. Even Dragon Age, which did its best to subvert fantasy cliches, left dwarves as normal except for sometimes shaving. Why are dwarves always so dwarfy?
>>46581951
Because they got it right the first time.
>>46582268
Done in one.
That's all, folks.
Look into dwarven folklore for different sorts of dwarves.
The main problem for me is that gnomes and even halflings take up much of that sort of space.

So, /tg/, you're getting prepared for your first Shadowrun. You can put together a team of Fictional Characters for the team that will go with you and assist you in this Run.
Who do you choose?
My team:
Infiltration Expert: Faith Connors (Mirror's Edge)
Mage: Rin Tohsaka (Fate/Stay Night)
Sniper: Sinon (Sword Art Online)
Muscle: Fawkes (Fallout 3)
Face: Shawn Spencer (Psych)
Hacker: Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex)
Now, I want to hear yours. Don't judge each other's...

He's the only one I need.

Jensen is the best Shadowrunner!
Can some fa/tg/uys help me out with this? I just bought the basic Warhammer 40k (6th Edition) and the Codex's for the Tau and Space Marines from a local Half-Price Books. I have nothing other than that. I am a poorfag, and am wondering what the best things to do are, I really want to invest in a Tau or Marine army, but have no idea as to where to pick up paints/miniatures on the cheap-side. I have an idea to use my old Heroscape stuff for maps, but I doubt it will work in the long run.
TL;DR: I want to know how to get 40k Tau/Marine stuff on the cheap, and scenery as well.
