Faith is connection to the god. God doesn't need worshipers or sacrifices but they might provide spiritual power to his servants like clerics, prophets and angels.

I once ran a mashup of Call of Cthulhu and Stormbringer (along with some homebrewing). It was a medieval-ish fantasy game that took place in dream realms. Whenever a player's character died, he had to make a sort of system shock roll or die in the real world too. Really, you should only use it if it's for a very specific figure. Like a friend used it for a heavily armored gnome on a wolf mount. But if you need like a human or elf wizard, or pretty much anything, you should just go to reaper minis.
They're pretty expensive, and I heard they were kind of weak, but they've just recently introduced a new "dark plastic" that's supposed to be much stronger.
Yeah, the price is what is keeping me from doing it, especially since it will be one of the first miniatures I am getting.

This thread deserves more.
Afaik, larp varies a ton from place to place. Some places (mostly in yurop) are more akin to 'medieval paintballing' where you're swinging around metal and people WILL get injured. Others are more neckbeards in foam armour throwing beanbags.
I'm real mixed about it, it seems to walk the cringe event horizon pretty tightly.

The three basic sizes would be boy sized, nob sized, and boss sized.
Orks are born nearly boy sized, orc adolescence and growth is more mental than physical.
Even then, it's mostly a matter of learning and adjusting to ork kultur.

I've been wondering which system would work best for a campaign using the Revelation Space setting from the series of novel by Alistair Reynolds. For those who don't know, it's a space opera, but one where the lightspeed limit is respected and humanity is alone in the galaxy. It's a reasonably hard science fiction for space opera. Traveller seems a bit ill-adapted for it but it's the only one that springs to mind. Any input?

This is super relevant to my interests.
I like that there is a clear timeline, a clear limit to what established technologies can do, and areas like the Glitter/Rust Belt, Chasm City and Pattern Juggler worlds that are almost endless in variation.
I also love the pessimism in the setting. I wish we knew more about the other aliens in the universe though.
