Just paid 300 for a 20 sessions with a trainer. We do legs, back, and arms/core 3 days a week.

I'm 6 sessions in and starting to realize Issues I don't like with this trainer. I like taking a minute in between reps so I can give it my all on the next rep, I will literally count to "60" in my head, and several times when I only count up to 25 seconds, my trainer goes "alright you ready, alright next set"... The fuck. Didn't even have time to rest for an actual minute.

Sometimes I say nah, just give me a few seconds and sometimes I'll just do the next set even when I don't feel totally ready to avoid looking weak or having my trainer awkwardly stare at me when I take a break, LEGIT will just stand and stare at me and make things awkward when I'm just taking a fucking rest in between reps.

There's no a/c in my gym so when I do take breaks I'll sit in front of the fan with my eyes closed, I don't want to open my eyes in front of a fan And dry them out or get dust in my eye, and my trainer ALWAYS says "do U have skmething in ur eye? Do u have something in ur eye?"

NO GODDAMIT.

Starting to really piss me off. I just started lifting which is why I hired the trainer to begin with, any advice? Does this trainer just sound crappy?

Sorry bud its 1500 lbs total (not including OHP). All you have to do is take a video of you doing squat, bench, and deadlift with weight that adds up to at least 1500 lbs and send it to the management of your gym. After filling out some paperwork and upon satisfactory review of the video, your gym should send you 1 (one) standard issue gf within 7-10 business days within the mail

I got sick when visiting my dad on easter. Pops had a cold and that he said only lasted 48 hours. I now have said cold, and am choosing not to work out. I don't want to get everyone sick at the gym, and I don't think I'd be gaining anything but joint pain rn. /fit/, pass your judgements down upon me. What do you do when you're sick? It was decline day, but not it's soup day.

Nah, if I'm really sick I just stay home and rest. Worst thing to do is prolong the recovery by hitting the gym and not even hitting your normal numbers.

Just bought a trap bar from NY barbells. I'm going to start bringing it to the gym w/ me. Any thoughts on this exercise? I haven't done them since I was in high school, and then I only did them a few times.

the push press skips the bottom portion of the ROM, which is the hardest part. it allows you to go heavier on the top portion, but that won't help your regular press.

Sup /fit/ Long time lurker First time poster.

Im 5,8 187 pounds, I was 147 3 years ago and 160 2 years ago.

Ive put on alot of fat since then and Im going to start P90X today.

Im cutting out all alcohol, Minimal amounts of bread will be working out 6/7 days 6th day is stretch exercises.

I plan to take Casein protein Over night for some small recovery the next day other then that I dont have any plans for supplementation

Im aware its not the most efficient Program to lose weight with but it seems consistent enough for me to follow.

My Question is if anyone here has completed all 3 phases of P90X and to get some insight into how the first phase was for you and how you felt at the end, Did you see noticeable results at the end?

Anyone can explain what the difference between a "good" and "bad" metabolism is. So is there any reason that someone who consumes the same quality food, has the same weight, muscle, height and gender can consume the same amount of calories per day without gaining weight?

Well, I shit twice a day. Once during the day and once again before I sleep. I'm very lazy, pretty skinny and have low appetite. When you add on top of this fast metabolism, gaining weight is pretty difficult.
Compare this to my friend. He shits once a week yet is massive as fuck.
