It was right at the height of the 3D craze so everyone had to see it in 3d, which means the tickets were more then regular tickets. It litterally is the biggest meme movie there is.

I liked it, but I wish it had a few improvements.
-The best parts about the score were borrowed from other films. Even the prequels had great original music.
-Some things were unexplained or not well-established, mainly the relationship between the Republic, the Resistance, and the First Order. R2 coming awake seemed random and out of place but was probably caused by Rey, but that's not really shown.
-The destruction of the Starkiller was kind of anti-climactic. Think about how tense it was in ANH or RotJ. The Starkiller fighter battle was kind of an afterthought, more paying tribute than actually being engaging.
-That shitty last helicopter shot and Luke not being in the movie at all until the very end.
If I'd have done this movie I'd probably change the Starkiller base from being a new Death Star to just being an Imperial Base that the Resistance assaults. Or, if we keep the Starkiller, don't destroy it in the same movie. Maybe weaken or disable it, but not destroy. I'd also have Luke show up earlier. I don't mind Rey's force powers, but I think it would have been much better to have the new dorks get their asses handed to them and saved by Luke. Kylo's red saber getting intercepted from an off-screen green saber would have been the biggest cheering moment in the entire franchise.

The movie moved a little to fast for me though,i feel like it should of been 20-30 minutes longer. Hope we get to see the whole movie eventually because some scenes and characters were cut (constable zuvio for one)
