>Luke, did I ever tell you about Ben Solo? He was named after me even though his father only knew me for but a few hours and his mother never knew me at all. He was a bad son.

What did he mean by this?
just fucked
I used to watch Tommy Cooper when I was very young, and he always made me laugh my ass off. Saw this the first time around on the telly, and there's no way I'm watching it again.

>farts at the end
>Hyped up to be the badass new Boba Fett
>Absolutely fucking useless
>fulfilled criteria
She has a bigger role going forward. Probably going to be having a grudge towards Finn and kick his ass next movie
>>63823299
Boba Fett was also useless. He only "captured" Han because Vader already had him. And then in the next movie, he dies. I don't understand what's supposed to make him so badass.
I feel like im the only person who doesnt care about star wars
i havent watched a whole star wars movie in my life and I never will
>>63823254
Excellent blog post, faggot.
>HEY EVERYONE! I'VE DECIDED TO NOT LIKE SOMETHING!! LOOK HOW SPECIAL I AM!!
fuck off.
wow you're so cool anon
So can we all agree that the first 30 minutes or so were excellent but then the movie got gradually worse as it went on?
I can agree
It just started to move too quickly after the initial meeting with Han & Chewy
>>63823183
yes i was so hype during the beginning.
that poe/finn shit was 10/10
2 seconds of rey character dev were 10/10
>>63823183
I think it kinda fell apart when out of nowhere The Starkiller destroyed half of the galaxy and nobody even flinched, nobody cared... and then nothing that was happening after that made any sense, running around, attack plans made in 30 second long discussions.
Hey /tv/ as an avid fan of cinema I would like to give something back to the community. My little brother created this masterpiece over the summer if you could give him some honest criticism that would be great.
Please dont dont use hateful language as he has a slight mental condition that makes him prone to throwing fits
/tv/ank you!

How long do yo think will it take until /tv/ will acknowledge Ep VII for the good movie that it was.
The backlash and counter-backlash and counter-counter-backlash are happening too quick fascimilie, I don't even know what's going on anymore

Once reddit starts to bash it, which it's doing right now

>which it's doing right now
Except it's not.
Sicario thread.
Thought it was great.
I liked it but blunt's character had zero ground to stand on and I don't get who would actually sympathize with her point of view. Who watches this movie with as naive of a mindset as her character has? Why does she act so petulantly? There is plenty of logical shit for her character to get upset about but she only cares about "muh procedure"
It was fun watching cartel get fucking rekt tho, I liked how it showed how one sided of a fight it would be if the US actually gave a shit about the border.
>>63823873
I thought Blunt's character was great!
Think about it, she was the total opposite of a Mary-sue, in fact... she behaved exactly how a woman in her situation would... she complained a lot, didn't get the big picture, and even accepts at the end that this war is too tough for her!
I would rather have that then some unrealistic female super soldier type that hollywood seems so desperate to force down everyone's throats these days.
>>63824055
She was still a non-character. She should have just been a straight up window for the viewer rather than almost having half assed opinions. I don't enjoy depictions of women being weak idiots regardless of how realistic it is or isn't, because it isn't enjoyable to watch to me. She shouldn't have been a super soldier, I'm just asking that she be a little bit more sympathetic in her wet-blanket-ness, cause she was written like she with a fucking middle-school understanding of politics. There...

Things I hated:
We join the film after much of the plot has already occurred, which is then relayed to the audience via Nolan-tier expository dialog.
Revealing that Kylo Ren is the son of Han and Leia halfway into the film as a “twist” serves no purpose. In Ep V when Vader reveals he is Luke’s father to Luke, it’s a twist to both Luke and the audience. Kylo’s identity was already know by the film’s characters, so withholding it from the audience until later is a contrived plot device,.
Shit CGI on Snoke and orange lady.
Snoke’s cheesy...

I just finished watching 'Akira' after hearing so much about it for so many years. Why is it considered a masterpiece? It was hardly that good, it was actually pretty shit. Its a non-sensical "edgy philosophy" story with whatever plot it has held together by tonnes of violence and shitty animation. Why is it considered such a great masterpiece?
>>63822876
the ending is original in the film, the manga is supposed to be better.
>>63822876
>Why is it considered such a great masterpiece?
You not going to understand one way or another considering your current attitude after watching but when it was release animated movies didn't have mature content and weren't so beautiful animated and detailed. Even if you don't like the plot, which got butchered down to what you saw from a six volumes set each with three hundred pages manga, it was an amazing technical achievement.
>>63822876
>It was hardly that good, it was actually pretty shit.
I thought that as well but something really hooked me up in that film. Really like the Colonel, childrens and psychic Kei at the end.
American here, saw it twice. Audiences clapped for:
>Han and Chewbacca
>Leia
>C-3PO
>R2-D2
Audiences did not clap for:
>Luke
Why not Luke?
