Luke started off by doing very basic things. He was a good pilot because that was part of his backstory; the reason he made the shot during that fight in the trenches was because he used the force while targeting. Also, he was only deflecting shots with his lightsaber before, which we watched him being taught by Obiwan.
In contrast, Daisy Ridley, on top of being a good warrior and good pilot, somehow managed to perform a jedi mind trick WITH NO PREVIOUS TRAINING. She also sliced up a dark jedi, even though Luke's duel with Vader only happened in Empire, where his hand got cucked by Vader. Luke was cucked for a long time before becoming decent with the force, and even in ROTJ he wasn't all that great.
