Lindelof pretends the answers to mysteries don't matter because he can't write
Don't know why people have such a hard time with the premise. The show uses the worldwide unexplained disappearance to bring to the forefront humanity's anxieties about death and the universe. What's our place in it? What does it all mean? How can I feel safe when I could disappear at a moment's notice? All those questions applied before The Departure and they apply after, The Departure is just used so that the old rationalisations no longer work as well as they once did and we have a kind of "Year Zero" where humanity has to find meaning all over again.
third for nora
Wait....aren't stormtroopers supposed to be a clone of this guy? Why isn't Finn a latino?

clones age faster so in the 60 or so year between prequels and sequels they died off
Stormies arent clones
After months of excitement I took my kids to see Star Wars. A few minutes into the film my son got motion sickness. This is where we've been for most of the movie. Sometimes being a dad is rough.

>the movie is so bad it makes kids throw up

The only objectively wrong way to rate these films is to put any sequel or prequel over any OT film, or to put any film but 2 at the bottom.
I'm convinced it's not actually possible to make a film worse than episode 2.

Le contrarian prequels are good meme

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Electro-Stick Guy Strikes Back
>random stormtrooper has a riot baton for no reason

That gif is literally my favorite moment in the movie. Nice to see a stormtrooper actually put up a fight
Also liked when Kylo Ren went ham on the dashboard with his saber. Looked like a great way to relieve stress

This meme has gone on long enough.
The prequels were much better written, they had actual characters and story, not a bunch of memes and one-liners that lack any emotion or coherence. Luke is a cliched everyboy "hero" that goes through an absurdly rapid transformation between the fifth and the sixth episodes. Anakin's emotional instability and his exposure as a psychopath are gripping; and his doomed relationship with Padme is touching. In the "original trilogy" Han, Leia, Darth Vader and Obi Wan are complete meme characters, nothing about them is remotely believable or human. And why...

Tell me the moment you realizedHan was going to die.
For me, it waswhen Ren walked into the room and I remembered that both the OT and PT had the older father figure character die when he faced the Villain in Black.I'm sure there were people who figured it out earlier, though.
>>63836115
Literally everyone saw it coming the moment they started talking, it's just the way the scene was done.

Oh wait.
Why was he such a spaz?
Anytime something went wrong he'd throw a temper tantrum. It was so dumb Anakin wasn't even that bad
C'mon, bro, you know the answer to that.
>>63836064
He is the best villain in all the movies so far. He has range and vulnerability.
He puts on an act when everyone is around so people find him threatening.
The difference between the two is that Kylo Ren is supposed to be a massive pussy who uses the mask as his shield to hide his weakness from the rest of the world and the temper tantrums are a sign of his insecurity and immaturity
when anakin spergs out we're supposed to sympathize with him and understand his pain
>yfw Rey was the one who massacred the other kiddie jedis

Every Die hard basically
>Nicole Kidman drops from Wonder Woman
"Warner Bros. are obviously a long way behind Marvel when it comes to their DC Comics adaptations, but they’re making up for that by enlisting some A-List talent for the likes of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Wonder Woman. For a time, it appeared as if one of those would be Nicole Kidman, but we now know that unfortunately, the actress won’t be on board."
That makes Nicole Kidman, Tom Hardy, George Miller, and Patty Jenkins who have turned down the DCCU.
