You rise slowly early in the day, heading in to your kids' room to check on them both. To your surprise you notice Peppa attempting to climb out of her crib... with Groucho's help. You cross your arms and shake your head. "Isn't it a bit early for either of you to be making any trouble?"
The girl and the tiger shyly nod. Peppa points to the other side of the room, her brother's hat fallen to the floor. "Haf..."
"Brother's hat." you tell her with a bit of a frown.
"Yus!" Oh here we- ...wait what? "Gib... Gaham haf." she mumbles out.
Huh. You raise an eyebrow and give a quick scan of your daughter's mind. She... was worried Gohan would start crying if he woke up without his hat. You walk over to pat her on the head, smiling. "Maybe let mom deal with that." You telekinetically float Gohan's hat back on his head, getting Peppa her own as you pick her up, the girl's tail curling around your arm.
"Mah." she mumbles happily. You stay with her for a while as you both wait for Gohan to wake up. Heh, just like his dad.
You prep a big breakfast while you wait for Goku to wake up as well, the kids and Groucho playing for a bit. Your husband is a bit surprised by the bigger meal, but extremely happy about it. After you all finish, Goku giving a pleased but quiet belch, he gives a little stretch and asks, "What's the plan for today?"

I'm working on being Marshal for a Deadlands Classic game soon and I'm looking for any music and art you guys could sling at me. Characters, locations, period clothing, anything and everything.
If you guys have stories from Deadlands, Dogs in the Vineyard, Boothill, or any other western RPG feel free to share, I'm kind of at sea of where to focus on in my game.

Lets start with some American gospel/folk music. Not gonna lie, most of this I probably stole from O Brother Where Art Thou

>The year is 2207
>A popular card game is widely played on Earth, the Moon, and on Mars
>Inter-world tournaments are commonplace
>A massive solar storm cuts Earth off from its colonies for a hundred years
>Travel and communication are finally re-established
Assuming this card game is still popular on all three worlds, could they still play against each other?
Eventually. Initially, you'd have variance in ruleset as well as various card lists which might not be considered balanced by one anothers rules, but assuming the core principles of the game remained you could recreate a 'standard' ruleset, while also maintaining planetary variant rules.
>>43624140
>you could recreate a 'standard' ruleset
No need to create new rules.
Just use the Earth rule-set. It has retained its purity.
>>43624211
That's a very terra-centric worldview. The Colonials might have some disagreements there.
Is there anyway to make a game where the party is a tank crew mechanically fun in combat?
>>43624040
Possibly, if the system made it obvious that every member of the crew contribute to how well the tank operates. Overall gunner's the half of it. He'd get bonuses based upon how well the commander is at spotting and giving out commands, then pluses or minuses based upon what the driver is doing. Can't fire unless the loader does his job, loader would probably have the worse of it. Other crew members vary depending upon the tank.
>>43625146
It would he difficult to give every class something to do that's both relevant to running the tank and gives them meaningful decisions every turn, wouldn't it? If the loader's only action every turn is "load cannon" while the gunner chooses targets, the loader isn't really getting to do shit.
I've often pondered this, constructing a system around the idea of every player being a member of a crew of something, whether it's a Power Rangers style mecha, a starship or a tank. I think it could work, but it'd require a huge amount of good design to make it really fun.
Roll call.

Stage 105: Another Point of View Entirely.
You sit on the grass, looking at the trees, watching the leaves stir. By and large the world is colorless here, except for a very few of the very oldest trees here, and of course the sky himself. Shades of grey, tints of grey, with the occasional lustrous brown and deep green. Even the earth here is washed out, only slightly tinted brown because it is earth. It had to be brought here from somewhere else, so it is dulled, grey and soft and fragile.
You look up at Amaterasu-Omikami, and she smiles down at you, her light giving the world some much needed warmth, and you bask in it. You're allowed to be here only because it's very close to the temple doorway; the others are watching over your companion in arms, a gift from them. There are others here, soft, grey, washed out people, only a very few tinted with faint color, though there are three exceptions for the moment. None of them are here, so they're not really that important. No one is bothering you, and that's more than you could have ever asked for.
The soft, cool voice of your master interrupts your reverie, and you crane your head back and up to look up at her without moving your body, an act that seems to distress your master for some reason. It isn't as though your master is incapable of exactly the same thing.
“Are you all right Yui?”
>>43623598
You blink your eyes at the sleek black dragon with its sapphire arm, ruby right talons, and burning eyes given power by the Sun herself. Your tail curls over itself and you look into those gentle, fierce, burning eyes without fear, because your master will never hurt you the way your family did.
Your name is Ryuu Yui, and this is what you see.

Where did they get so much honey from, anyway!?

My players are a cyberpunk hit squad for the totalitarian empire ruling the last cybercities on a mostly nuked earth.
They fight terrorists and win a lot.
They ran into some guys who call themselves HYDRA. One sleeper agent got in their squad as a medic, and then "betrayed them" partway through a mission by blowing himself up with hidden nanoexplosives. Lots of fearful reactions, as the guy passed all screenings and didn't reveal he was a secret agent (good at his job).
Some other minor run ins aside, they know HYDRA had wiretaps on a ton of the highly regulated Internet traffic, and that agent, but not much else in the way of presence in the game. Players have decided they are on the side of evil.
Far from it, they are the only organizational that knows the eldritch gods have awoken, and HYDRA is trying to stop them at all costs.

Hello, we will run for about three hours. Next thread will be a Cont. for sure.
You and Anglo spent the rest of the day running away from the thorn. You shared one cram with your friend just in case, you slept with a growling stomach and shivering body.
You woke up from a terrible nightmare. You couldn't remember it in details but the cries in it felt so real. You just shook it off and continued.
The snow had a greenish tint. It wasn't like that yesterday "A radstorm....She is coming." Anglo stared at the perturbed skies. it was snowing green snowflakes.

hi snow
It's the Human World.
The surroundings in this part of the world are mountainous and dusty. The ground is rocky and somewhat unpleasant to stand on, even indoors. Or, well, whatever remains of these particular 'indoors'.
The roof of the stone building is almost completely gone, having collapsed or been blown off in its entirety. You're not responsible - it was like this when your group arrived.
Even though this house is by no means small, the only reason everybody is able to fit in on a single floor is because the rooms are no longer fully separated by walls. There's a lit barrel in the center of the room, giving off warmth to keep everyone safe from the cold night.
It's hot at daytime, but it's easy to freeze when the sun goes down. Well, it's not as cold as everybody else makes it out to be; it's just that it's generally always warm back in the Seireitei, and only slightly chilly at night.
Or maybe they're over exaggerating it just so they can all have something to complain about together. Stuff like that helps people bond, doesn't it? Spirits can choose not to feel anything from this world, so that must be it.
You could also do that, but since nobody else is, you don't feel like it would be appropriate.
You're not particularly inconvenienced by the weather, so you can't really join the conversation the other trainees are having. Looking at it from the side, it seems that the guys, in their white and blue uniforms, and the girls, in their red and white ones, are mostly keeping to their groups. There are ten trainees here in total. The practical assignment had the whole class split up into small groups.
(1/2)
>>43622655
There are three Shinigami present in the building, their black uniforms setting them apart from everybody else. You don't recall their names. None of them are instructors from the academy; they've just been assigned in charge of your group for this exercise.
Two of them are discussing something between themselves, gradually getting louder about it, while one is wandering around the students, chatting with them. The girl's dark hair is tied up in a neat bun and she looks kind of nervous, though the people she speaks with seem to cheer up a bit.
You catch the Shinigami girl glancing your way. She seems to be finishing her conversation with the female students. She's already spoken with the rest of the boys, so she'll probably head your way after that.
...
>Wait for the girl to approach.
>Move to listen in on the debate the other two Shinigami are having.
>Sit down next to the other guys. You can't really join their conversation, but you can still listen to it.
