The danger was in the tunnel leading deeper into the cave..a few kobolds.
I finally convince the fighters that the crab is no threat. Its just fluff..its the size of a dinner plate, not anything that will attack them. The mage goes full blown that guy.

The fighters take off armor to swim 30 yards out, in deep water, to catch this crab for the mage..who has convinced them it will help in a spell.
Much splashing and yelling later, fighters are swimming in..and the kobolds enter.
Mage is standing near the tunnel, yelling at the fighters to go back out and get the crab..
Kobolds use slings...kill the mage.
Fighters swim towards the mage...kobolds end up killing them as well.
Tpk..because a mage wanted a fucking crab..and no one bothered to look around.

Current point of contention is (I believe) the 1/army upgrade. It's there to allow orks to get some consistency on their known powers, as well as more dice to throw.
It's already restricted to 1/army, on a level 3 Psyker that only knows Big WAAAAAGH! powers.
Options are
- Choose 1 power and generate more dice based on number of nearby units
- Level 4
- Reroll known powers
Any suggestions?
I'm just curious how they line up with the other beings and monsters of the settings.
I've been wanting to run a WoD game with my group for a while, and I'm thinking starting my team off being guided by Divine sources. That said, I know my group, and they will end up murderhobos, even in this setting. So they will likely get some visits by Angelic Enforcers.

So Angels aren't really... statted. But there are demons, which are fallen angels. They are absolutely more powerful than anything else, except maybe a completely bonkers Mage. Most people don't even realise they exist.
Have you ever seen Supernatural? The Angels work a bit like that, possessing people. Or at least the demons do. The angels mightbe/are the messengers that imbue hunters so they do appear if that's them.. but that's more of a mystical dreamlike spirit form? But presumably they can possess people too.
Basically, yes they're crazy strong, your characters probably won't be able to touch them. They might be able to kill the vessel they're in, but the angel would just pop out and find a new one. Also you're the Storyteller, so just say the angels are untouchable. There's not enough info on them for anyone to correct you.
Look at demon and the types of demons and what their apocalyptic forms get. It'll give you an idea about the types of angels they might have been and powers they might have. But you should probably figure out a more... abstract.. method of communication. You could have Gabriel pop down for a chat or you could have a voice on the wind, or a homeless man rambling the Message, etc...

What would a world be like where talented, unique, or high ranking individuals have an effect that renders them hugely resistant to harm. Called in setting as "heroes"
This doesn't mean they are invulnerable, though they are strong, fast, or smart they are otherwise still mortal people and in theory can be harmed much like any other person.
In battles you'll pockets of space open up in armies where heroes" start mauling troops that charge at them in small files, scores and scores of arrows missing them, or being sole survivor of sinking ships and plane crashes by almost impossible means. Commanders and soldiers when asked why they didn't get back in line or try to target this one person simultaneously, can only give an indescribable sensation of not being able to. Imprisoning them or trying to restrain them for long is almost always doomed to fail.
Much like gravity or electromagnetism is a direct force in the universe, so to do certain individuals have sway on reality. It's something directly observable and noted. Even in the modern age this persists, with sayings like "The hero always finds a gas mask" and "Only two things will survive nuclear war, roaches and heroes."
This does not mean they can take down armies single handed, there is in fact a threshold of how many soldiers they can face down single handed or arrows they can dodge but this will always result in terrible, horrible casualties. Such is it that it's incredibly practical to try and kill a hero with another hero.
It takes a king to kill a king.

Whenever you try and pitch "magic" to a scifi setting the justification is always something like "nanotechnology" and while that shit can be pretty handwavey there's at least a pretense to a justification there. But then you suggest psychics and people just take them in scifi wholesale with no further elaboration.
Like how!? How is a bunch of electromagnetic pulses going off inside a squishy soft tissue thing inside my skull going to reach out and tamper with the laws of physics around me? What is the justification here? You literally may as well just throw in regular old "magic" given it's about as sensible.

i think its that when you say 'science fiction' it feels like theres some hard barrier there. Theres a limit and that makes it seem more understandable, you can grasp it more.
Magic has a soft barrier where its like 'idk i aint gotta explain shit cause its magic'. Theres no real limit and I feel like more writers would fall into bad patterns where they just say "oh and then he cast some spell and was done with his problems because magic". Not saying it doesnt happen in sci fi stuff but the writers kind of have to give some context for how they got that super virus for example.
