I am looking for a gym to get started with stronglifting. I know jackshit about fitness equipment. The gym near me suits my most of my needs, but the only thing that would allow me to do squats and overhead presses is this pathetic looking piece of garbage i outlined with red.

Will it suit me? Or i shouldn't even bother with this gym and keep looking?

It's doable but those guards might be too high and you would have to walk out the squat pretty far if you intend to squat to depth

So... /fit/, i have body measurements today but i drank alcohol last night. We're talking about 2 pints of beer. Does alcohol immediately affect my waistline and whatnot by retaining water or the opposite? (or something like that)

Alcohol will dehydrate you a bit depending on what and how much you drink, but a couple pints of beer should have negligible effects, especially on your body measurements. Don't worry about it senpai desu familia, it's no biggie.

I hit a new PR of a 175x5 DL about 20 minutes ago.
It's not much compared to a lot of you here, but I'm proud of it.

I keep going up every DL-day too, I'm both excited and scared to see where my stall point will be. I feel I can push to a 200x5 over the next week or so, the 175x5 wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
If I hit 225x5 in the next two weeks then I will have accomplished 1pl8 & 2pl8 within 30 days.

Guys is lifting literally a hobby for autists and outcats? I have noticed that the regular guys at the gym (who are also jacked) are lonely and awkard retards (just like the majority of /fit/)..while the normies usually quit the gym within few weeks or months.

What triggered me to create this thread, is that the other day,while at the gym I ran into some old high school mates who are now your regular weak skinnyfat normies. The thing is, although they look much worse than me, they seem to have fun in their life, like friendships, parties, chicks etc..while I'm eating chicken breats 3 times a day and shitpost on /fit/?

Is lifting a thing for the lonely people?

I'm 20, 130-135 lbs, 5'6" male. I've been working out 3 times a week since late January and I've seen very few results as of yet, progress pics are showing nothing. I'm neither losing nor gaining weight.
Even though I'm normal weight I've got a bit of a belly since I don't have a ton of muscle. I'm looking on going a bulk/cut cycle. Which would you recommend I do first? Pic is me
