I usually find I can't get my heart rate up high enough when I do cardio with only my arms like this. You've gotta use your legs, run, bike, something.
>>37246007
So hows legs?
summer I lost interest in doing exercise and kept playing video games all the time. Since then I've gained 30 ponds and lost my shape, how do you guys keep motivation for exercise and keep improving?
I keep telling myself lifting will give me confidence and confidence will give me gf.
Im not desperate for a girlfriend.
Motivation? Not so much.
Discipline? That's what you want
>someone in class mentions that he runs
>get his number and hit him up for a run
>get there and he's with two other guys
>apparently they're all on the track team
>start "running"
Me: "So, how long do you guys usually warm up for?"
Runanon: *nervous laugh* "This is how fast we always run."
>"run" for about 10 minutes at about .000001 mph
>they're all heaving
>i'm literally not even breathig heavily
>walk for half an hour and they talk about normie shit while i act like a sperg and just listen and look at the trees
>see a park and they want to do pull ups
>blow them all out of the water
>the guy in the group who always talks about his fucking info-graphic bodyweight workouts who's well known as a "fitness guy" only does 11
>walk for a little bit more
>I ask what time it is
>4:24
"Damn missed it by 4 minutes!" i say spergily
"Haha oh yeah we blaze it every day" they agree sarcastially
>ask them if they actually smoke
>they get really offended
"No!! We're athletes!"
Me: "Haha yeah i guess"
>tfw i smoke weed multiple times a day
>tfw he calls himself an athlete
guess i'll just do my actual run after work at 11 o fucking clock. thanks for wasting my run you fucking normies

What are some exercises and things I should eat for a nice, round, big butt? Not looking to trap and I want to keep my test high, but I just want a nice ass and legs for girls and guys to mire, grab, and stroke. I still want a built body up top, but a feminine ass and androgynous legs, basically. But to have a butt like that don't you need fat? How would I go about dieting for that specifically? What exercises should I do? I was thinking of running/sprinting, but that might burn fat. Cycling might have worked too, but I don't want to lose my boners. Could do hiking, but I have to take a long drive to anywhere I could. I can't do weighted squats because my home gym has a tiny barbell that doesn't fit beyond the width of my shoulders, but I could buy dumbbells.
Kinda like pic related but bigger like a traps ass.
Thanks brahs.
Idk but my ass came genetically
Are you a guy? A girl?
Oh that's right, the answer is squatting for both. Just fucking do squats. Get whatever fucking weight and squat it.
Oh yeah here's a squat you can do at home without a rack:

>started keto diet at 300 in Jan 2015
>started daily cardio at 280 in Mar 2015
>stopped daily cardio and started Stronglifts at 265 in Jun 2015
>hit 217 in Dec 2015 but fucked up over the holidays and started lifting and dieting again in January 2016 at 224
>started eating some carbs again in Mar 2016 because I was very low energy in the gym at about 215
Now I'm fucking parked on the scale. I'll drop down to 208 after 2 weeks of eating like Ghandi, and then I'll make a small fuck up like having two beers and splitting an order of wings and suddenly I'm at 215 again. Then I'll diet like a motherfucker and do extra cardio at the gym, get to 207, and then someone invites me out over the weekend and I end up having zero willpower at dinner, so I eat a burger with fries; water weight floods in with the sodium and I'm back to 214 again.
All I want to do is get to 185 so I can stop cutting, up my calories, and bulk.
Should I cut carbs back out and just get to 185 asap? Should I bulk from here?
I've been experiencing something close to it, really. Started keto at 290 back in September, down to 217 as of today. Stalled hard at 230 and 220. It was really, for me, a complacency thing. I stopped tracking because I thought I had a good feel for it, didn't realize I was going just a bit over calories. Enough to fuck me up.
Remember you're fallable and just work on it. You won't maintain keto your entire life, so getting off of it and learning to keep track of a normal lifestyle is best for you. Get a burger but don't eat the fries, keep that willpower to some degree while still enjoying yourself.
OP here: M / 24 / 5' 10" / 215 currently / sedentary
Currently doing PHUL instead of SL so I can squat less. 4 days/week, each workout takes about an hour.
Every fatfuck will hit a plateau eventually.
First of all. Don't just look at the scale. It's impossible to gain 5 lbs of fat over a weekend eating. Since that's about ~18000 calories extra.
Those lbs gains you notice are glucose (carb) deposits that are filled up again - they are stored with water. It's not fat.
Secondly, have you adjusted you calorie intake in relation with your weight loss? You caloric maintenance is lower than at the start of your diet.
Thirdly, maybe you train too much, stressing your body a lot and the metabolism is unable to function in a correct way, hormones are fucked up etc. If that's the case. Eat two days healthy, hit you macros. No sports whatsoever. Then continue with your diet & sports.
So or so, you can not defy the law of thermodynamics. Eventually you will have to lose weight when you are on a caloric deficit. Otherwise you solved world hunger.

Been working out for a month, new to all of this. I've seen a change in the muscle in my arms and legs. I'm new to this and don't know much about what I'm doing. Tips and advice for a n00b that wants to get all of this fucking gross weight off?
>what is the sticky
Get a lifting buddy. Lift as heavy as is safe. Push day pull day leg day repeat. If you don't know what those are Google routines. Play games like basketball etc. For your cardio as they are more fun than mindless treadmilling and treadmilling/excessive cardio is a bs meme for fat loss.

You guys were right, Planet Fitness is trash, had an incident today
I went there 2 times before canceling my membership. I was first upset because they had no free benches. It was all fucking smith machines. They had a squat rack smith machine. So I decided to do Dead lifts on it and took the safety bars down. As soon as I started, some guy came up to me and was like, sir you cant remove those bars and we dont allow deadlifts here.
I seriously looked at this little man, who looked like he just got back from barney on ice in his bright purple and greet shirt, and said, "Are you fucking kidding me?" I showed the guy that the bars are meant to be removed and moved to different heights. I even pointed to where the sticker on the machine explains how to fucking do it. He said thats fine but they dont allow dead lifts, which I asked why not.
His response and I shit you not was, "We feel its an ineffective routine and thats why body builders have bad backs." I threw my towel on the ground, dropped my water bottle, pulled out my membership card and told the dude I want to cancel.
First, deadlifts are key to creating a strong core. Not just for body buildiers but anyone that wants to tone up. They are important and yeah you could have a bad back if your form is shit, but you are going to know rather quickly after a couple of routines that your form is bad.

I'm a nub to fitness in general (academic family with near complete disregard to physical health) but for the last week and a half I've been researching and I kinda know what to do (read the sticky plus countless numbers of articles).
During this time I've gone from 94.7kg to 90.2kg (207lb to 198lb) just by cutting down to 2000kcal from the unstoppable gobbling I did before due to my ignorant ways. I actually have a fairly active lifestyle due to my job and even more so going to the gym frequently, burning around 3000-4000kcal depending on the day.
The problem is, I've been monitoring myself closely and noticed that my bf% actually went up despite losing weight, which suggests I'm losing more muscle mass than fat. The research suggests this is because I'm not eaiting enough protein (~1.5g per lb of bodyweight).
So my question is how the fuck am I meant to eat 300g of protein a day, still fit it into 2000kcal diet, not compromise my intake of other macronutrients, not eat the same thing everyday yet not break the bank?
At the moment I'm drinking two protein shakes and having massive amounts of chicken with each meal and I'm only getting to about 170-200g per day. 300g looks damn near impossible.
What should I do? Is there a way to boost my protein intake? Should I just bite the bullet and just eat what protein I can until i lose enough weight for 200g to be an appropriate amount?
>tl;dr
How do I get 300g protein into a 2000kcal cutting diet?
>pic related, the reason why I'm cutting
Your post is bad and you should feel bad
u onl ned 3 preoteins
Don't cut, bulk.
You have the best basis for making massive gains and turning the little extra fat you have into muscles. Cutting now will just make you look weak. You should try the SS and GOMAD programs from the sticky. If you follow those you will come out better and stronger.

18 and been smoking cigarettes for about the past 6 months. Yesterday was my first time I smoked a whole pack in a day, I'm getting worried about it. I'm a fatty, too. About 40-60 lbs overweight. I want to get into better shape, I should quit, right? How do I quit?
