Using the smith machine for anything but calf raises and hip thrusts is stigmatized
I do it every chest day. It helps me focus on squeezing my pecs more instead of just moving weight.

Just do 5x5 using 80-90% of the weight you use on A. Or something like that. The point is, do more sets but don't max out, use weights that...
