So I've got a consistent diet going of 1700 cal, which will let me reach maintainence level for my height of 6'0".

Question though is I don't want to be skinnyfat. If I lift do I HAVE to eat more? I am struggling to eat this much as is. Can I build muscle without taking in more kcal?

/fit/, i've been browsing for about 2 months now, so yes, I'm a newfag. But I don't understand a lot of things that go on in this place, and want to. I'm at 16% body fat, been working out for almost 2 months, and hope to get to sub 10% and have massive gains.. so I want to understand some terminology used on this board.

If you know, what are:

I'm trying to form a low card diet to start lifting weights on.

I'm interested in losing body fat (currently at about 25%/Skinny fat mode) but need to get my lifts up. Also because of various health reasons I want to lessen my carb intake.

I looked into Keto and it looks insane. 60% of your daily intake is fat and you can't eat fruits or oats. Are there any smart low carb diets that are good for bodybuilding?

For basic low carb, add leafy greens, low glycemic-index fruits, and watch/limit your intake of things like potatoes and rice.

So, everybody that looked good back then used an approach called volume training. Arnold, Zane, Oliva, Nubret, everyone.

So, how do you calculate the percentages to use? I mean, you do what?

Shouldn't you be using some really low % of your 1RM for that kinda volume? I never found any calculator for that anywhere, plesae halp!

Read about Nubret's routine once. Take a weight you can press for 20 reps, but only do 10-12 reps. Cut your rest time down to 30 secs between sets.

Doubt this is effective for mass without roid assistance, but it should get you a good pump.

Actually, high load doesn't increase your chances at hypertrophy at all. Volume does. There are dozens of studies about this.

The only reason I lift is to look good. I don't care about strength, ony aesthetics and look.

I want the body pic related, this is my workout routine every day:

Everyday after I wake up and before I go to bed - 2 minute rest between

20 bicycle crunches
20 spiderman planks
20 Press Ups
20 dips

Exercises for the middle of the day - 5 minute rest between - 50lbs barbell

10 bench presses
10 bicep curls
10 deadlifts
10 squats

Are squats and deadlifts actually necessary? What is the best routine for a body like pic related?
