Then I woke up in my cold room remembering it was all a dream. Was pretty sad that it didn't actually happen. Went to the gym to lift my feels away, had a pretty good workout, increased in squats and deadlifts. Dream made me question some things and see it in a different perspective, on my way out of gym while still pumped up decided to call girl in question and ask her on a date. She said yes.

I figure it doesn't matter anymore, if I fuck up I'm still in the same position as I've always been.

I've tried in the gym but they're not what I'm looking for. I want to smash one out this weekend preferably; where should I look? Pic related

i would like to train myself to be more flexible.
i have asked in qtddtot and just get vague replies to "do yoga, bro" or something similar...

but i am looking for a specific routine that i can progress on... like an actual list of exercises i can practice to get more and more flexible.

i tried following along to yoga videos, but that shit was just too dumb, and there was too much sitting around without any stretching at all.

i just want like a 30-40 minute flexibility routine i can do daily and work on my progression...

does such a thing even exist?

So I read the sticky. I want to drop my bodyfat down to 5-10%, and start making mass and strength gains (likely more mass for now). I'm also planning on swimming for cardio to strengthen my cardiovascular and respiratory systems which I've totally shit all over for 6 years by smoking cigarettes and being sedentary and eating like shit like a faggot.

Every time I think I've got everything figured out and start following a plan, I read a thread on here saying I've got it totally wrong. Cardio is good. Cardio is bad. SS is a good beginner program. SS makes t-rexes with joint problems. Do this, don't do that. Eat this, don't eat that. Good form, bad form. The sticky is real. The sticky is a troll.

So, what the hell do I do then? What's the truth? I've changed my plans and routine like 3 times so far.

i should also tell you, SS is not a meme, as long as you disregard rippetoe's nutritional advice (no you do not need to eat 7,000 kcal a day)

that being said, i prefer greyskull lp.

anything johnny candito recommends is good too..

just avoid stronglifts, or if you do it, do the first 2 sets as warm up, so its 3x5 worksets (same principle as reg parks 5x5)

make sure you are either adding weight, or adding reps every single workout.
progression is the biggest key.

linear progression for as long as you can, then progressive overload.

Just wanted to say thanks to /fit/.. I was a 22 year old Virgin and about 250 pounds before /fit/, now I've lost close to 100 pounds and finally feel fit and healthy. Also got a Gf now and have sex all the time.

What is /fit/'s opinion on Jim Wendler's 5/3/1?

I just decided to move to 5/3/1 following about 6 months of Phrak's GSLP. I'm doing the Big But Boring accessories. Today was my OHP day, and I have to say, it was very different. I was only in the gym for about 30 minutes as opposed to my usual hour, but my shoulders feel absolutely nuked.

Anyone have any experience and seen any results with this method?

Yeah. I was only doing 70lbs at 5x10, but holy shit after the warmups and 125x7, the 5x10 absolutely annihilated me. I definitely don't feel like I deprived myself a good workout despite the short duration.

Absolutely. But unless it's noob gain, you need to have everything in check (flawless nutrition, 10+ hours a week at the gym, plenty of sleep, some cardio and a good routine)
