Who /fast/ here? It's already the second day of the nativity fast, so you're all probably set up by now.
What are you fasting from?
What are you cooking?
Why are you fasting? Religious reasons? What's your religion and/or rites?
I'm fasting, but it's for weight loss reasons, not religious ones.
What is your religion, OP?

I'm in the hospital with gallbladder complications.
I haven't had a meal in over 13 days.
How's my lunch looking, guys?
Mixed cooked things. Probably tastes good, but tell us the details mang
Yellow rice with baked unions, a little bit of chopped garlic, some brocoli and black beans thrown in for the fiber. Added a little soy sauce to give it some flavour.
I don't see pork belly
How do i make the best burger buns /ck/?
Use the pretzel buns
>>7079161
Depends on the meat anon.
I've been using sourdough for burgers.
>>7079161
buy them from fuddruckers
Cooking oil of choice?
I usually use Canola oil. Neutral flavour, inexpensive, high smoking point, low in saturated fat, decent amount of Omega 3's.
Although I have used extra virgin olive oil, even though it has a low smoke point, it seemed to work fine for the onion I was frying.
I'm exactly the same: canola and evil.
I need to get around to using peanut oil. Apparently that's what's heavily used in Chinese cooking.
>>7079280
Yea, true. I've used it before, but it really does have a slight peanutty taste.
i use canola. i dont think youre supposed to use olive oil to cook with.
Anyone love these as much as I do?
I'm cool with them but they're never 99c where I live and those things are calorie dense; like, a big bottle like the ones pictured is a meal. They range from salad in a bottle to Starbucks Frap, though they're all sweeter than they need to be.
>>7079126
THey're great, but they are like $3 where I live.

The vanilla chi tea is really good on oatmeal with some cinnamon. and just good to drink in general.
Sup /ck/.
So I'm in Tokyo, and just had a lot of money taken from me. I only have ~700 yen to last me till the end of the month, and my fridge is far from stocked (today was supposed to be shopping day). As a result, I'm going to be making a lot of desperate dishes with whatever I can find.
I thought tonight's was pretty interesting, so just in case I discover a new recipe out of pure desperation, I'll be posting what I make here.
So tonight, I made a salad out of a cucumber and a tiny bit of cole slaw mix I found in the back of the fridge....

I am starting up a business as part of uni and I need a motto for a business that uses food waste from supermarkets and puts it into an aerobic digester to make gas any ideas? Our name is food power

Never letting a CARBONara go to waste.
"It's not quite literal shit!"
Thanks I might use the first one
What kind of cookies does ck prefer to eat/bake?
Personally I love making samoas cookies.
stick a pretzel into a chocolate chip cookie.
>>7078655
Add peanut butter, coconut milk for dipping (or pic related), and Lucy's cookies are also MAGNIFICENT.
I dropped half a plate of spicy chicken teriyaki on the ground, can I still eat it? I picked it up after like 30 seconds and can't see any hairs, etc. on it.
>>7078615
No.
It's 5 second rule, not 30 second rule.
Feed that chicken teriyaki to your cat unless you want food poisoning.
>>7078618

How does my butt look?
WHoops wrong picture
oh wow, OP, for a second there I thought you meant your ACTUAL butt. Like the one you sit on. Gee Whiz could you imagine how goofy that would be posting something like that on /ck/? You sure are a wacky one, OP. You almost had us going there for a second. None of us ever would have in a million years guessed that you were referring to a smoked Pork shoulder if you hadn't posted that picture. Lemme tell ya. You all better watch out for this crazy guy, he's got a real twisted sense of humor.

Why do amerifags ruin every foreign cuisine they get their greasy pig hands on?
>>7078154
Why do europoors care so much about what americans do?
looks pretty good
Please remember that america is a large and affluent place, so we can try a lot of stuff
>>7078154
LMAO AMERICANS AMIRITE?
First time cooking it myself, I've only ever had it fried to toughness or sitting in a crock pot for 8 hours, so I know even a little bit of pinkish hue is a cardinal sin in me mum's kitchen.
It's fine.
>>7078100
look quite good.
