I know this isn't really /ck/s style, but what are some examples of "Healthy meals"? Like anything to a degree seems "unhealthy". Is rice healthy? Are things like almonds great for you or too calorie dense to be any good? I hear so many differing opinions on everything but then at the end of the day everyone says "Getting fit man its all 90% diet just gotta eat right". But then everyone has definition for what is "right" and whats "wrong" so I just don't get it. I don't want to eat chicken salads for lunch and dinner every day of my life.

Its a retard question I know but I don't know where else to ask it.

Are you confusing a healthy meal, with a meal that will help you lose weight?
>>
>>7083399
I suppose a little. I don't need to lose weight. Just want to eat "healthy" and don't know what even constitutes as "healthy" as a actual meal.
>>
>>7083421
What is your goal? You said "getting fit", which implies you have some kind of objective for your body? What is that objective? What's your current situation and where are you trying to go with this and why?

An old guy in a camo vest gave me this outside a 7/11 about an hour ago. Had them in a cooler in his truck cab.

Tried selling me some at first, but just gave it to me for free since I don't carry cash.

Question is, since I don't know how he made it, how should I prepare it?

I really dont understand how so many people on this board find themselves accepting random foods from strangers.
Even more confusing is that you are ok with it and bring it home and post it on here with the intention of eating it

Do you like your burrito to be wet on a plate, or would you rather it be dry and wrapped in foil?

I can go either way, but it better have a house sauce if it's wet. Too many good mexican places started using canned enchilada sauce around here and apparently from the same supplier.

One of my favorite meals is to marinade some chicken or beef, grill it, and wrap it in a tortilla with refried or black beans. No other fillings.

How many eggs are safe to eat per day if you're trying to lower your cholesterol? I've searched around online but I see several contradicting views on the matter.

In February the gubmint said cholesterol from food isn't as bad as they previously had thought, is that true?

For now I've limited myself to 1 egg a day, 3 days a week max because my LDL is slightly higher than normal (135, should be under 130 doc says)

Anyone else watching cholesterol?

So apparently world's best pan.

I was searching for a cast iron cookware in a store and my eyes stumbled upon this big black and very heavy pan.
Apparently it's some kind of cast aluminium with 7 different layers that heats up like a motherfucker even before putting it on the stove.

The saleswoman told me top chefs from embassies in my country came to her to thank her because she was the sole importer of AMT cookware.

Also the german team on the cooking olympics uses them. So supposedly they are the greatest piece of cookware ever created
but you would not think that based on the information you can (or rather can't - there isn't any) find online.

So.... any experiences? Should I go for it?

Looks pretty similar to ScanPan. I generally only buy cheap nonstick cookware, since you're just going to be throwing it out in a year or 2 no matter how tough it claims to be. Save the big money for something that's going to last a lifetime.

Why is this stuff such a staple for so many people here in America? People put ketchup on hot dogs, burgers, fries, etc. It is appalling to me, ketchup does not go well with anything, it just overpowers the flavor.

What do you put in/on your homemade burgers, /ck/?

Mine:

> in the mix.

- 5 parts beef.
- 1 part pork.
- Egg.
- Worchestershire sauce.
- Dried onions.
- Garlic powder.
- Dijon mustard.

I don't use breadcrumbs because I find they make the burger too dry or something.

> Toppings.

- Ketchup.
- Mustard.
- Cheese.
- Lettuce (iceberg)
- Fried onions.
- Pickle.

I just make ground beef into circles. You're over thinking things.
Little bit of black pepper, garlic, and onion powder on top of them when they're nearly done, then melt a slice of cheese on top.
Thousand island, relish (sweet or dill), tomato slice. Done.

So I'm gonna be making a quiche (or 2) tonight for supper. Any ideas about what I should put in it?

I'm probably gonna fry up some bacon and chop it up, and saute an onion and some bell peppers to throw in too. But I was wondering what other things you guys like to put in your quiches? I have some chorizo and some breakfast sausage I could do as well. I have different types of cheeses also.

So, quiche ideas go!

Oh an of course I'll be posting pics of the final products. Probably not during the assembly because I don't like to take the time to do that but I'll show it in the oven and what it looks like after they're out.
>>
Only thing I'd add to that list is spinach
>>
Emmental, cheddar, asparagus, spinach, mushrooms. Honestly, you can put just about any savory ingredient in a quiche and it'll work.

Round two lads; This time we are using chicken and doing it crunch wrap style.
