How do?
It seems a bit forced. Tainted Chains is nowhere powerful enough to be a build around for an entire deck, so what do you do when you don't draw that card? Play st traft? What else?
You must Really like Windborn Muse.
>>46051701
True, I guess the deck would have a few control oriented spirits like Eidolon of Rethoric and the rest of the deck would be like a UW Control deck, that was my initial idea.

Changes:
>Reddit’s Welcome to Netrunner Post includes the Beginners FAQ, redundant link removed.
>Floor rules linked directly to the pdf instead of the FFG post to match the faq and MWL.
>FAQ doublechecked – it’s up to date.
>BGG’s podcast list out of date by around a year or so. Removed, replaced with some individual active casts.
>The previous BGG geeklist of sets has been out of date since H&P. Removed link.
>As much as it hurt, Ono-sendai dead link removed. RIP Ono-sendai, we’ll miss you.
>Meteor’s moving, address updated: http://meteor.stimhack.com/
>Netrunner math removed. It’s been dead since C&C.
>Bad Publicity link cleaned up under videocasts.
>Willingdone added to videocasts.
>As cardgamedb is FFG’s thing, its card list been moved to the spoiler section.
>OP timestamped.
Questions and Notes:
>Does anyone actually use cardgamedb’s deckbuilder? If not, may as well remove clutter.
>Same as above with Little Chiba. It seems to piggyback off of netrunnerdb, in which case, why not just link people there?
>Considering removing Strange Assembly from Articles and Blogs. Last mention of Netrunner was Dec 7th, 2015. Last full netrunner “Thing,” was September 2015, a tourney report podcast.
>Willingdone is still relevant? Honestly having trouble telling. If he’s out of date, willing to remove.
>Team Covenant and Cardgamedb seem to be podcast directories now with some articles and interviews in the former’s case. Leaving as is.
>>46032630
As the guy that "updates" every so often the snipped (usually just the FAQ), thank you. There were some stuff I was afraid to remove or change because I don't know how useful it might be for a new player. Like the math blog that I thought it was outdated and didn't share his approach.
Some thoughts:
>>As much as it hurt, Ono-sendai dead link removed. RIP Ono-sendai, we’ll miss you.
Ono-sendai might be dead, but after anon asked about it the last time I added back the link to its Github in case anybody wanted to build it for himself, or start a new one.
>Questions and Notes:
>>Does anyone actually use cardgamedb’s deckbuilder? If not, may as well remove clutter.
Nobody actually uses it. It got better but netrunnerdb, acoo and meteor are still better. But cardgamedb is actually the "official" deckbuilder with FFG behind it to support it, so I always left it there, even if it's only symbolic.
>>Same as above with Little Chiba. It seems to piggyback off of netrunnerdb, in which case, why not just link people there?
Some anons were dead set on using Little Chiba back when the list was created.
>>Willingdone is still relevant? Honestly having trouble telling. If he’s out of date, willing to remove.

The Craft Sequence series by Max Gladstone is about WIZARD LAWYERS and it's even more fun than that implies.
“Do your marines speak true captain? That the Despoiler is weak and pathetic.“ When he heard the question, captain of Sons of Malice tenth company started laughing. He turned to face the renegade that was following him. The warrior stopped, his pure black eyes, clashing with his white skin, unblinkingly looked at the renegade marine.
“Only a fool dismisses the Despoiler as a weakling. Only a fool would believe what the warmaster wants him to believe.”
“What does he want us to believe?”
“For past millennia, he crusaded twelve times, each time defeated, he returned to the eye, laughing, for the worshippers of the emperor thought that they won. Each time he fell, he looked less of a threat, each time he fell, generals and chapter masters, captains and inquisitors, started dismissing him as a smaller threat, than he is. But they are fools. Despoilers plans were never to win, if he wanted, he could have crushed segmentum pacificus, solar and tempestus during his first crusade, but he waited, why? He knew, the victory would be short lived, six primarchs were still alive, his forces weren’t fully replenished, he could have crushed any army which tried to stop him, but he couldn’t control the massive territory. So he waited, gathering allies and weapons. Each of his crusades was just a fraction of the endless armies of the undivided and the four. But he waited, each crusade weakening the might of the imperium, each crusade plunging the dagger deeper. But now the thirteenth has started, full legions are now moving, armies of such might, that the great crusade would look pathetic
Where hundreds of marines roared in the name of Khorne charging emperors dogs, now millions roar in bloodthirst. Where tens of sorcerers invoked the name of Tzeench, casting arcane powers, now thousands walk, their power darkening the skies. Where small groups of Slaaneshii slaughtered, driven to ecstasy, now battalions march, their perversion driving mortal men insane. Where only few squads of Nurgles plague sons walked, their diseases poisoning the air, now uncountable armies march, bringing endless death, as even the earth brakes under their feet. The Despoiler planned this, now it’s his time to strike. The imperium besieged from all sides, each enemy requiring more than entire might of what can be given, they can’t win this battle. The Despoiler has at least nine legions of astartes. Black legion, Word Bearers, Iron Warriors, World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Death Guard, Emperors Children, Night Lords, Alpha Legion. And his ally Blacheart has his legion of Red Corsairs. For hundreds if not thousands of years these legions grew impossibly huge. Not caring about their purity, not having a tithe, they increased to tens of millions. Endlessly increasing armies of cultists and traitor guard march with them bringing endless destruction. Deamons rip to realspace with every death, bringing even more of it, slaughtering enemies easily and endlessly.
And now is the time of the end. The Imperium would have already fallen. Even the first assault was incredibly brutal the only reasons, that the empire is still holding are the genius of a general that is leading the Cadian regiments, and Necron and Eldar support. Only with this, the Imperium endures, but even so the Despoiler advances. Nothing can and will stop him, that’s why we joined him, on this crusade. We will get our homeworld back from loyalist dogs. And then the Legion of Scelus will rise again.
And so you ask if the Despoiler is a fool? The fools are those, who didn’t hunt him down millennia ago. For he is the reason the Imperium shall fall.” The captain turned around and started walking, his steps, the only sound echoing in the silent corridors.
>>46050641
Okay, but how's he gonna beat the Imperium with no arms?
To what degree is it acceptable for "sneaky" female PCs (rogues, bards and comparable classes) to use their sexuality as part of their arsenal? Is anything fair game as long as it reaches the intended goal, or does a DM have to draw a line somewhere?
To what degree is it acceptable for "sneaky" male PCs (rogues, bards and comparable classes) to use their sexuality as part of their arsenal? Is anything fair game as long as it reaches the intended goal, or does a DM have to draw a line somewhere?
>>46050556
Sexuality doesn't work that way though. Women are nowhere near as attracted to men as men are attracted to women.
>>46050562
And most men can put 'Their job' about sexuality.
Anyway, the Dashing Rogue who breaks hearts is as much a classic as the seductress.
Okay /tg/entlmen I need some assistance. I am GMing a Rogue Trader game for good two years now and I doing a fine job at it. A year or so ago, my players decided to write everything down in a more serious fashion then some notebook, I found them the Obsidian Portal and we made a „wiki“ page there.
Now only two players out of 5 took to writing the thing with me, and I decided to award them.
I need some ideas on rewards I could give them.
Now I could always go adhoc and give ingame boons and such, but since the most active member is my girlfriend(6 years now), I don’t want her to deal with the prejudice of the party „She’s sleeping with the GM she has benefits“. So I want to write down a reward system for them. So all of them who contribute have something to strive for.
I thought of a numerical system to give points for logging the sessions and such, and those points to unlock certain things in game. I was thinking – 1-5 pts for logging a session, 1-2 pts for personal updates, 2-5 pts for off-session talks (which my players love doing I thought I might as well reward),
>10pts – 30xp
>15pts – 10% off corruption decrease
>15pts – 10% off insanity decrease
>20pts – Emperors Blessing (some minor thing goes your way during a session, very GM dependent, might not be worth it even, if the GM is in a foul mood that reward might be arbitrary)
>50pts – Interesting item
>100pts – Strange ability
You see where I’m going with this... What are your thoughts about this, any experience with this?
Also if you are interested I can show you the Obsidian Portal Page
Also I paint rather well, but I already kinda do this for my players... Maybe I should put that in as well...
The party once started... 3 years ago.
Seneschal now deceased.
Soon I'm starting a 5e campaign and I'm afraid my DM-ing will not be immersive enough. I'm afraid players will just be running around, killing hostile statblocks and rant due to the fact no one sells them those Gauntlets of Ogre power to complete their builds.
I have also overstocked on general material I need for the campaign.
>>46050120
Putting together a decent group is the most important thing you can ever do when you start role-playing, and I'm not talking about filling all the roles in the party in some kind of pen and paper version of World of Warcraft, I'm talking about the players.
No amount of effort of preparation you put in can ever make up for having a shitty group, but a great group can make things happen without constant plothooks from the DM.
If you have good players everything will work out, if you have shitty players you're about to throw away hours and hours of your life.
>>46050120
You're right.
Your first time won't be immersive enough, your players will be murder hobos and things generally won't go to plan. This is normal and won't matter as long as everyone has fun. You'll improve with every game you run, because you'll learn from your mistakes. Then you won't need to remake threads that have been made a thousand times before and are made redundant by the wealth of sites and posts covering this exact issue.
>>46050189
This guy has it. Tell us about your players and we'll predict what'll happen.
What unique fruits does your worlds have?
>>46049741
There's a non-specific small light green citrus which is used in juices and alcohol. It's called a Ponderbelly.
>>46049906
I like that. Sounds comfy.
I'm stealing it.
>>46049741
I don't really use any unique fruits, they're all things that exist in the real world. I just use fruits that are exotic enough that my players don't recognize them. A lot of African fruits, actually, I've got some old agricultural surveys of native African crops and I've always thought they were interesting. Carissa, marula, icacina, medlars, detar... my players have no idea those are real things.
What's your opinion on kobolds, and why?
thats actually a good point why are my opinions on kobolds?
>>46049159
I like them, they're smaller and weaker than everyone else but they're still trying the best they can.
Tiny dragon rats. Sometimes they're dumb and savage, other times they're like scaly children with too many pointy bits. Overall not very threatening unless met in large numbers.
