how does 4chan feel about wombo combo decks? for the sake of the thread, I will define wombo combo decks as decks where, when a certain combination of cards is played, you all but instantly win the game, creating infinite [health/creatures/damage/butthurt] or whatever.
>>46218455
it's part of the game and creates a good check for control decks against more linear decks
>>46218455
I don't understand the joy of playing this kind of deck for more than a month.
I mean yeah playing storm is fun the first few times, you learn the interaction, when to pull the combo off.
But after 50 games, when all you do is the exact same thing over and over again... meh.
The worst "competitive" combo deck might be ad nauseam.
Seriously all you do is
T1 Suspend Lotus Bloom
Cast some shit cantrip.
Cast Lotus Bloom
Go off and hope your opponent didn't have disruption.

If others want to play a infinite combo deck then that is fine and I won''t complain but I personally avoid them. Something about going infinite has always just left a bad taste in my mouth.
why doesn't a lich just make his phylactery the planet? lasts (mostly) forever, adventurers can't destroy it (unless they are evil, or at least spiteful), no shortage of dying people, etc. it seems like a solid plan. pic probably unrelated
phylacteries are destroyed during restoration.
Because a phylactery is a piece of jewelry, and because a lich's phylactery has to be made of adamantine, you fucking mong.
Also phylacteries are generally two size categories smaller than the creature that creates it.

Okay, so I'm curious; what are some of the rarest miniatures for wargames (or RPGs) out there?
This is sparked by a search for Dead Space-like minis that resulted in this OOP Kabuki Miniatures mini, the victim of a swift C&D most likely. I know there's event exclusive miniatures from half a dozen games, OOP stuff from the odd third-party, older mini sculpts, and old minis cut from both production and game... But I'm curious as to what the rest of /tg/ has in the vein of esoteric knowledge of forbidden miniatures.
I'm also familiar with the DOOM miniatures which seems to go for an arm and a leg nowadays.
>>46214680
This is hot
I think the legendary Rogue Trader-era Assault Marine is somewhere in the top list of rare minis.
I've searched for years without even finding a pic of a real one. There's only this, from a very old ad leaflet (i think)
Hey /tg/, you guys might remember me. I'm the guy who had The Shallow Sea in his setting, a large body of water that divides two continents that Is several hundred miles tall and about 100 miles wide, but only cones up to a man's ankles.
Last time we discussed traversing the shallow sea and how people would even take an army across it and the weather patterns that would be present in such an area.
This time I come to discuss creturns that would live in the sea. I was thinking, would the shallow sea be like deserts and have ant lions except with water?...

Giant water spiders.

We humans have these remarkable things called feet and boots. I suggest those and cots for going across the "sea". I would probably just have some variation of small animals, mainly amphibians there. And as for those boats, I highly doubt it. Again, feet and boots. Maybe a really, really, light raft and a single person. But that's a maybe.
Walking would be really tiring. Boats could help drag materials rather than carry, and provide a dry place to sleep.

So, we have a pretty good idea of what 40k is like for the orphans of the Imperiums warmachine: enrolled in the schola, constant training, paranoia, and eventual graduation into the Commisariat, Storm troopers, SoB, administratum, etc.
Meanwhile, we also know stuff like Orks/Tyranids not having kids. What I want to know is this: What of the kids of famous worlds like Krieg and Catachan? Or the Eldar children of the Craftworlds and The Dark City? The Tau castes? Or even the pits of Krieg and Daemon worlds?
>>46213256
There's pretty much zilch on this so good luck
places like Cadia and Kreig are probably like the schola orphans except without the education

Decent game, played it a bit, liked it, didn't want to have to grind for fucking forever to get enough cards to make more than a generic deck, or heaven forbid, pay fucking money for digital cards.

EVERYTHING bad is the result of some wizard. The biggest fuckface is probably Karsus, who cast the strongest spell ever, and ended up destroying his empire and killing the Goddess of Magic.
