Greetings and salutations, since i don't seem to see a civ game and haven't run one since last summer i figured that it wouldn't hurt to start one.
Here are the rules for those that are new, unfamiliar or simply have forgotten them:
1)I roll for you, no need to roll for anything, I've found that this makes the game more dynamic as people are left guessing what will happen.

It happens often enough. A double 1 is the only way to roll a 2 in 2d6, a double 6 is the only way to roll a 12, which is why a lot of people prefer a multi-die system to the d20 system.
Personally, I prefer d100.

It is genetic. Psychic activity is the future humanity was destined to follow. Unfortunately, the stigma against them and the difficulty of properly raising one to not tear holes in the warp has stunted our growth as a species. Thus, the witch hunters and paranoia across the Imperium do their damnedest to ensure we stagnate as a species. And they're doing a pretty good job of it too. The Emperor stalled us from making that leap in his time because we were not yet ready for that stage in development. Had he a few thousand more years we would have a webway much like that of the Eldar, regular and stable psychic troops among the guard, and a proper plan in motion to suppress chaos. Instead, we have zealots shooting humans that are in fact closer to their god figure than they.

No, seriously, I wouldn't be able to give you an actual recommendation because there wasn't a whole helluva a lot of melee focused stuff released. Magic related works? Oodles, but the BoNS and ToB and Complete Warrior/Scoundrel/Adventurer is about all I can think of right off the top of my head.
How do I stop sucking at this game? I'm gettng rekt by fucking AI at medium they just send squad after squad and choke me out. I never was good at strategy games and have problems with uprgading units, building and defending my shit at the same time.

Naka's expression crumples for a moment. “We both deserved HIIIIIIII!” her reply rises into a pinched-off yip, eyes popping wide. Harder braces himself on the table, absorbing her sharp little elbow without complaint. “Harder!”
“Naka?” Harder says. “I know you love to talk about duty and service and the debts a ship owes her country and all, but lets see if I can get you to understand something.” He leans against her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pointing at you, emulating your own gesture from earlier. “He'd die for you.”
She tightens her folded arms as she hugs herself again, leaning into Harder's embrace. Looking small, huddled and defeated, she stares off into the distance.
“Yeah,” she admits. You remember her question, the rhetorical statement she proffered while she sat in the rear of the C-5 with Harder's bloodied head cradled in her lap.
Harder turns to nuzzle Naka's ear with his nose, talking low and rough. “I shouldn't have snuck onto that plane. Did anyway. And that's why I'm not an Admiral.”
You open your mouth-
“And he shouldn't have gotten into a fucking drunk thug-stabbing contest like a fucking Carribean swashbuckling Errol-Flynning fuckwit,” Harder continues glibly, “so I probably would've tripped over him on my way in, but he can't turn into a goddamn warship, so, you know.”

Naka lifts her eyes to yours, questioning. The burden of command she knew about, but this-

The Powers That Be said, that's good enough. I've got my orders.” You stuff the toast into your mouth to shut yourself up.
Before Naka can reply, a commotion a dozen feet away draws your attention. Hate has been halted in his aimless amble towards your table, his posse of dogs circling and barking and farting around the feet of Kaga, who's currently pinning Hate to the floor with her gaze. You're not sure how such a stonefaced woman manages to be so expressive, but the Look she's giving Hate can't be described any other way. The tight line of the mouth, the half-lidded eyes that compress her disdain into a slight downward slant (despite Hate being an inch or two taller than her,) even the slight backwards tilt of her head, as if keeping her nose clear of the 'MERICA fumes.
“Ironic,” she seethes. “You're the one with a presumed mother, and yet I'm the one with a rudimentary grasp of table manners.”
“Hmmmmm?” Hate mumurs through a mouthful of donut. The other soggy half droops off the bayonet. He catches it with his carafe. The corner of Kaga's mouth twitches as the splash splatters her sleeve with a few stray drops.
“I'd call you a pig, but even they know to keep it in the feeding trough.” Her high-class disdain drips from every syllable.

Full Plate would add +3 to your AC, and what is the enchantment on Judgement? If it's at +3 you can bump it down to +2 and get enough funds to afford a +2 AC from Amulet/Ring that way.

You force yourself away from the text, forcefully shutting the ancient tome. If you allow yourself to get caught up reading, you'll never leave this place. Channeling vys, your perception of the world shifts. Through the lens of the Sight, you're able to perceive not only the fact that you're being watched by a veritable horde of minor spirits, but also that the book is heavily enchanted. It glows practically so bright that you're forced to avert your eyes.
Cutting the flow of vys, you pile the book into your cloak and turn to leave. However, something stops you. Can you really just let this woman languish here, entirely unaware of the fate of Hiacia? What if she pursues her mad goal primarily out of ignorance regarding the possible consequences? Reaching into your cloak, you extract a piece of parchment and an inkwell. Channeling vys, the ink flows freely through the air and arranges itself swiftly across the paper. You've always enjoyed the ability to commit a thought to writing without any effort on your part.
The text you produce sketches out in broad details the history of the past thousand years, going into particular detail about the Fall itself and its causes. You do your best to make the account comprehensive though undoubtedly leave much out. When finally you feel you've offered as much of a warning as you're able through writing, you dry the text with the barest exertion of will and pin the paper just inside the door with a thin sliver of stone.
You make your way swiftly through the ruined underground, the ephemerality of your cloak obscuring your form. You reach the stairwell up to the former librarian's office and find yourself faced with a conundrum. There exist in this ruined library a portal to the realm of a madwoman who seeks to elevate herself to godhood. No doubt she is far more powerful than you are, and possibly more powerful than any other vatis currently living.
