Hello and welcome back to Mortal Kombat Konquest!
When we last left our hero, he was catching up on events he missed during a particularly long nap, one that took twenty years. With all of his former allies now two decades older and with families of their own, Kaito has a lot to take in. After spending some time with Johnny and his daughter Cassie, he went to Arctika to visit Sub-Zero and his new Lin Kuei.

After spending another day with the Lin Kuei and training some more with Zian (and using some of his healing ability to ensure that the young cryomancer's leg is unharmed), Kaito decides that it is time to leave. Sub-Zero, Sareena, Zian and Smoke come to see him off, though Smoke's daughter is absent.
"Can we expect you again soon?" Sareena asks.
"I'll be able to visit whenever I please as soon as I get my boat back," Kaito replies. He looks at Sub-Zero, who nods.
"You are welcome at our temple any time," he says with a warm smile, which Kaito finds a bit ironic due to his mastery of cold.
"Sub-Zero and I will consider what you have told us," Smoke adds. Earlier that day, Kaito met with Sub-Zero and Smoke in private and described to them Johnny Cage's plan for a new generation of the Defenders of the Realm. Though Sub-Zero seemed to be intrigued by the idea, especially since it would mean broadening his son's horizons, Smoke was more hesitant. Kaito can only guess as to the cause of his hesitation, but it must have something to do with Vapor.
After saying goodbyes to his old and new friends, Kaito calls for Raiden. He appears in person this time, and the Lin Kuei bow before him. He urges them to rise and exchanges brief words with Sub-Zero before taking Kaito back to the Sky Temple.
As Kaito explains to Raiden that he desires to visit the Shaolin next, Raiden says that he will accompany him. Together they both vanish in a flash of light. When they appear in China, the sky is bright with the morning sun. Raiden is once more wearing a familiar straw hat and a dark blue robe around his shoulders, looking almost like a begger.
Before them lies the entrance to the rebuilt Wu Shi Academy.

As the pair approach the main gate, two monks in orange robes stand guard. One of them looks up and is about to speak, but immediately recognizes Raiden and bows, as does his fellow monk. They are able to pass through the gate unhindered.
"Must be nice," Kaito says.
"I was watching your reception at the Lin Kuei temple. I thought you might prefer easier passage."
They are met within the inner courtyard by a slightly older monk, who bows to Raiden. "Lord Raiden, your presence graces us."
Raiden urges him to stand. "I shall not remain for long. I am here with my friend. Please, attend to him and make him feel comfortable during his stay at the academy."
The monk bows his head once more and Raiden looks at Kaito. "I would like to take a walk."
Kaito is about to ask why when Raiden turns around and strolls off into the nearby gardens. He may be much more mellow than twenty years ago, but he's just as arbitrary.
"Greetings," the monk says, bowing his head to Kaito. "I am Guy Lai. How may I help you, honored visitor?"

Requesting a Butler/Bartender character. He is in his mid-twenties and has slicked back and well kept black hair, a black or purple dress shirt with a white bow tie. He also has hazel colored eyes.
Requesting a Disco pirate, he wears a purple jacket like the one in the pic but he keeps it open and he has a lepord skinned shirt, he wears shades but you can still see his eyes through them. He has a force like power that goes like this : (The user can absorb the impact given to him from any kind of attack like swords,hammers, guns, etc. and send it right back to the enemy it can also send force push like attacks and at max power it can destroy a house, but to do that he has to be very injured.) He also loves to dance and would rather do that then fight.

Since FoW is getting popular because "insert reason here" and Magic is getting less new players, lets discuss the current pro vs cons from each game.
FoW:
Pros:
> Cheap to get into the game
> Rules are not so complicated (since there is a library for Lands and another library for the rest of your spells, you will never get mana screwed and the game have some mechanics from old WoW TCG and MtG.
> The number of players is increasing so there will be more places to play tourneys.
Cons:
> The fucking weeb art (like 75% of it tho some of them looks less weeb).
MtG:
Pros:
> Have many formats in the game.
> Tons of cards with lot of mechanics from many expansion, allowing the player to choose many strategies and style of play.
> Got cool art (noot weeb oriented).
>Got an online mode if you are not into playing with real cards in a LGS (tho the interface is shit).
Cons:
> The barrier to enter into the game is high in all formats and modes atm because of the secondary market.
> The R&D is decreasing the power of newer sets, making almost imposible to see a reprint of a powerful card from last expansions or getting new cards playable in other formats.

Remember those three things when planning your weaponry, OP.
Best defense actually would be sealing off the part of the ship where the intruders are and flood it with gravity, plasma or toxic gas.

I always got the impression that the Rebs hot-rodded their Y-wings. Rip the plating since it's not all that effective against next-gen blasters and they only plan to use them in the black (where streamlining is for pussies and A-wings), use the saved power and weight to squeeze a few more points out of the sublight engine and overcharge the shields. Swapping out the gunner seat, second pilot's stores, and most of the turret can't have hurt the weight and power supplies either.
I imagine that's the only way the old girls stayed competitive enough to duck the Seinar Scourge.

Kilo One and Two begin swooping low for attack runs, muzzle flashes from their rifles blazing. You could almost see the individual bullets whizzing down at the water.
But your eyes remain focused on Heerman's motionless body, lying facedown in the water, along with bits and pieces of what was left of her rigging, and a mixture of oil and blood swirling around her.

Crunch wise the ID on grounding tests is bad. However I for one like the ID on the grounding. It makes it feel like the suit is the pinicle of technology, being able to fly and fire weapons, however it is fragile. I built the damn model and it feels and looks fragile. I like it, it's also a nice self nerf.
The FMC has its benefits, most everyone is familiar with it. However as you said, other than familiarity it's a bad way to do it. Which, I don't know. I haven't had to the chance to use it, but in principle I do agree.
I don't think the burst cannon variant is a bad weapon, it whips AV10 (which is common on flyers and rear armor which you can reach easily) I sorely wish they included a fusion blaster instead of a missile pod, or an ion Cannon at least.
I think they looked at the Flying Hive Tyrant and said "we need one of those!" could have been something really special, but it was kinda lazy considering the FHT already exists.
A squad of them is an interesting proposition though. I don't think there's precedence for that though and it'd be pretty powerful. Would probably need to be a LOW slot to balance it out.

Hey /swg/ what do you think of my character background for an upcoming eote/aor game, its set about 15 years after episode VI. Its a rough overview, but give any criticism that you can.
I had the idea of being an older test pilot for the Incom corporation on Fresia, helping test such fighters as the Z95 headhunter, arc 170, and other such ships during the clone wars. After the fall of the republic and the rise of the empire, he continued to work for Incom, but found the ever-increasing authoritarianism of the empire to be too overbearing. So he defected to the rebel alliance along with a few other Incom employees who sympathized with the rebellion, stealing several x-wing prototypes in the process.

Lost Source is a Sci-Fi setting in the spiritual tradition of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. Instead of Echoes or Souls we have Source, the currency is composed of leftover human ideas, thoughts, rare pepes even. Replacing Humanity and Insight is Psyche , lost and regressed human consciousness that you install to increase your processing power.
Mechanically, the game is themed around customization, with every aspect of your character being able to be modified. From their body, to their mind, to their weapons.
Last thread we really began to sink our teeth into the crunch of the game.

As inexperienced as you are, you don’t know if the ambassador usually speaks like this or he’s as nervous meeting you as you are him. At least you both have one thing in common if it’s the latter – neither of you are showing your nerves, though it’s harder for you. It was hard to miss the fact that he believed that the only one to fight the Taourans was you, but you still weren’t sure if you cared to get Farun involved yet. From what you’ve heard there’s a dispute between the nations north of Vitria and working closely with Farun now would limit your options if that escalated into a war. You decide to…
