Your people have walked for a long time.

The people of the south have never cared much for your kind; all it took was one night of drunken revelry to cause them to snap. Sure the drunkard Brinjolf might have eaten a few sheep and kicked over a wall but was that cause for the humans unrelenting assaults? So many dead, so much lost.

For months your people have marched, fleeing the wreckage of your home. Finally it seems that your pursuers have tired, leaving you alone in this cold wasteland. A faint yellow sun struggles to warm the frozen earth, its faint warmth hardly felt. The mountains encroach on all sides of the valley you find yourselves in, the ground is covered in hardy foliage and your mammoths graze unhappily on the hard grass. Your people gather around, looking to Gorlm, their elder for guidance.

Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You've become one of the most powerful Saiyans in the universe, but there's still potential for you to grow stronger.

You open communications with the ship, and are greeted by the image of a large alien you can only assume to be King Cold.

His appearance reminds you more of Frieza's initial form, though he's far more tall and imposing, his horns are curled upward. He wears a large cape, and a frown as he glares at you from across space.

"So...you are the one who killed my son," he growls. "My clan is feared throughout the universe. You're a fool to challenge my supremacy."

He smirks. "But, I will afford you the honor of dying at the hands of King Cold himself!"

"Where do you want to settle this?" you ask.

"Why not here?" King Cold asks with a smirk. "You can die here with your planet."

The original Marvel 2099. I know I could just use any comic-book RPG system, but I'm the only person I've ever met in meatspace or the Internet that really enjoyed it.

Welcome Back to Parasite Quest

Previous Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/32106982/

You are a parasite, and it has been too long floating in the inky dark. The yellow light spoke. Bid you forth. Commands, instinct, purpose flood back into stiff limbs. Yes limb now. A body. Your body. The shell will shatter soon and something begins to pull. Voice gives form, and form breeds new life. The world of the cell was too small and your rivals weak. You have claimed birthright and now what song will you sing?

Okay, I'm really getting tired of whoever is doing this, I mean I was done with it a weak ago when one of her cronies gave Tara, and put Baba into the infirmary for nearly half of a week. Now I may not get along with the witch much or all the time, but I can't stand this much longer, I couldn't stand it when they hurt Tara, who has to be one of the nicest people I know.

I sigh, forcing my body back into a human looking shape, my usual...real self. But hey on the brightside, they haven't done anything to me, except for making it really, really cold...but then again hurting my friends tends to piss me off more than getting hurt myself.

I sigh and lay back on the snow covered roof of the hallway, melting into a puddle.

but what could I do to stop it anyways? I mean, I'm just a slime, and I'd probably just forget about what I was doing half way through a fight anyways

I groan, making a few bubbles in my tummy as I reform just enough to wipe my face with my hands

>Go see your colleagues.

You think that's enough of the 'tour' for now, you're running out of places you actually know about. So instead you just fish up the address that Abel gave you and follow the directions.
The directions take you away from the richer part of town and starts winding into the less-affluent areas. And here the signs of local unrest are obvious. Windows are boarded up, shops and inns out of business. People stare at one another with suspicion.
The machine that is Melire is slowly breaking down and everybody knows it. It's exactly as Hiss wants.

You find the inn they're staying around here, straddling the edge. It's still doing good business and this area is nowhere near as bad as some parts but even it's starting to look worse for wear.
You guess all of this stems back to you and Hiss, doesn't it? Even now the vanguard are probably at work to drive schisms between people and inciting further discontent. Hiss has already sunk her fangs into this city and her venom always kills.

You find the three of them seated at a table inside, all three watching the door. A man who is either a low-class noble or aspiring merchant prince sits in the middle, his hair black and his mustache oiled. His arm is wrapped around a beautiful redhaired young lady and a little behind him is a very large looking brute in fine clothes.
Somewhat of an odd party perhaps but anyone laying eyes on them would dismiss them as a young layabout with more money than sense with a paid woman and his bodyguard.
You don't recognize any of them but that's to be expected.

The layabout beckons you over as if you were a servant, a single finger crooking.
"It's about time you got here," he says loudly for everyone else to hear. “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you?”

Aashenpreet looks like she’s about to protest but you don’t waste any time buying into the act. You bow as best you can before taking a seat at the table and beckoning Aashenpreet to sit beside you.
“Forgive me, there proved to be certain...complications.”
You see the woman and the brute exchange glances just for a moment.

The richly-dressed man drums a finger on the tabletop and frowns.
“I’m not paying you for complications am I? Did the deal proceed as planned?”

“Yes they seemed very impressed with your proposal. We’ve got a sale.”

“Excellent. I shall overlook your tardiness today but you’d best not do so again. I’ll arrange my end of the deal with them immediately once we’ve had a proper lunch. Will you join us?”

I made a world with a mixture of kingdoms and intertwining politics and motives which the party in their actions would influence over time in various ways. However my group is bad at long term campaigns. They always wanna play but never commit.

My players have shipwrecked on an island where a minor noble is making a play for the governor's position by making the present governor look like an incompetent buffon; this guy starts riots, incites pirate raids, and spreads nasty rumors about the governor.

Not sure if the party will pick up on that.

The first order of business the Emperor handled was his trade with Zar'kov. Spears, arrows and bows traded for containers of blood and pieces of meat.

He then moved on to thanking you for bringing back Pex. He had written the entire hunting party off for dead and apologizes profusely to you for their decision to attack you. For your willingness to return your prisoners and smooth over your first impressions, Ungblot will divulge all the information he possesses on the surrounding cave dwellers and the local flora/fauna.

While he accepts your offer of an alliance, he informs you he must keep such an agreement secret at this time. If your behavior in the hills angers General Agus or any of the other nearby powers in the area they may decide to go to war with the Firegem Nation, something that Ungblot is committed to avoiding.

The rubies are a much more complicated affair. While Ungblot is very willing to trade the rubies for supplies from Seaside or your Cerilian Mainland, he does not think it wise for you to bring human miners to the interconnected tunnels that make up Firegem village's. Again, this is because he fears the other cave dwelling nations might see these foreigners as some sort of plot by Ungblot. He is willing to set his own people to mining the rubies to sell to you, of course because of other duties, you'll be getting a lot less than if you had a dedicated mining crew.

>That's fine, kobolds mine the rubies themselves
>That's unacceptable, ask Ungblot how to make it work

After the decision is made, you tend to Claudio and Sofia both. You fear for a concussion, but both of them seem to be faring much better than you had expected, given the circumstances. Your watch resumes, though it's only through fatigue that any of you actually manage to rest.

The next morning is passed in weighted silence save for the ramblings of the Sleeper now strung up on the back of Ines' horse. Even though you don't understand most of the phrases or references she makes, the timbre of her words pull at you, melding with a landscape that seems mildly barren as you start moving around a bend that gives you a decent view in the distance of no man's land.

Ash clouds smother the horizon, telling you of a volcano that does not sleep, a product of the Eschaton when one of the larger meteors crashed in the area. Through the distance and pollution, you shouldn't see the damn thing, but it's the home of the Earth Chakra that your group theorizes is the source of power for the psychokinetics; it shines like the sun itself amidst the noxious fumes of the mountain. It's no true light but a death trap of interwoven telekinetic barriers, so densely packed together that no human could hope to traverse it without meeting their demise.

One day, though.

You force your eyes away from that deadly ray and back onto the ashen path before you.

>As we considered each appeal, it became apparent that the situation wasn't as clear-cut as it initially seemed. This was due in part to how we at Wizards manage previews for new sets in the social media–connected world. While the content of previews obviously needs to remain secret until unveiled to the public, we feel we can do a better job of being clear about when the preview season starts and help players more easily identify what is an official preview versus an unauthorized leak.

tbqh this sounds more and more like a conspiracy.

I'm still convinced the Kozilek, Wastes, and Mirrorpool leaks were initiated by Wizards and Maro.
