whats the best way to go about printing 'ship addon' proxies?

i found all the images on the x-wing wiki, but should i just copy & paste spam them into microsoft word and print/cut? is there a more efficient way to do this, such as a premade pdf?

>>44634478
>Yeah sorry Vader, can't get you a new suit. All the Empire's money is going into building a giant death cannon the size of a moon, we really have nothing to spare for a new suit.
>>
Huh, it's the 501st.
>>
>>44634478
Legends was really inconsistent on the suit's quality, but generally agreed that he tinkered with it to improve it but could never summon the courage to do a full transfer into a better suit.

Canon has actually declared that the suit is pretty awesome. Lords of the Sith shows that it's just as agile as his fleshy bits were, and even stronger and faster to boot. Add to that the neural interface built into the helmet which blocks out the pain and discomfort he normally feels, and it turns out, it's not really such a bad suit after all.
>>
Welp. Luke has fallen to the Dark Side.

>>44634498
It's in the FFG RPG pastebin. Don't know exactly why it was shuffled there but that's where it is.

Actually they are Kylo's old band the Knights of Ben, unfortunately on their poster for their first show it got typo'd the Knights of Ren.

They wanted to be the Dark Lords of the Sith, but a Bith Jizz band had it already.

(repost)
>TFA as a battle of the bands
>Ben as a death metal band frontman
>Rey is a complete newbie music and has never picked up an instrument before but is one of those rare people who can play an instrument naturally
>Finn was a very sheltered child who got drafted into the Knights of Ren fanclub by his older girlfriend, Phasma, he's never heard anything that wasn't golden oldies before so he loved death metal
>Poe meets Finn at a Knights of Ren concert, he's only there to get intelligence on Ben's band for Leia's band, The Resistance (a rock and roll revival group which Poe is the lead guitarist of), Finn saves him from being beaten up by fanatic Knights of Ren fans
>Luke has been missing for decades because he couldn't teach Ben that we must be excellent to one another and he's at some retreat in Scotland to learn the ancient ways of the guitar from the ancient masters (Buddy Holly, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, etc)
>Leia needs him back because he's the last classic rock guitarist around
>Poe, Leia, and Han teach Finn the ways of ROCK AND ROLL, he picks up Luke's old bass (it binds the rock together, search your feelings) when Rey declines, he's actually okay with it
>Ben knocks his dad out of the running in the first round because who even listens to 80s music anymore DAD
>Finn challenges Ben to a bass battle
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n19-6r2JAhU
>Rey turns out to be a bass prodigy, beats Ben where Finn failed
>Ben is defeated, but his band isn't, Producer Snokes orders his manager, Hux to bring Ben back to the studio to practice.....
>Meanwhile, Rey and Finn find an old letter that Luke left with an address.... for an island in Scotland

They're the only ones that care about bass

>>44635566
Actually, I'm a mediocre rhythm guitarist, but I room with a bassist.
>>
>>44634567
The bits of stuff I like best is where the suit itself is an obvious metaphor for his current life; it makes him stronger, heavier, and harder to hurt but is restricting and uncomfortable.
It gives him life-sustaining drugs that keep his ravaged organs and body going that make him stronger and dull his pain, but he's addicted to them and can't live without them at this point.
He's mildly angry all the time because he's basically trapped in a vaguely uncomfortable but entirely necessary suit that puts a thick barrier between him and the universe that he's now too dependent on too remove and contributes to his constant state of simmering anger because he's aware on some level that it's own damn fault he is in there at all.
>>
>>44635534
Seriously though, somebody needs to just look at him after that and say "Ace of Spades, Motorhead, 1980. Paranoid, Black Sabbath, 1970. The Trooper, Iron Maiden, 1979. Holy Diver, Ronnie James mother fucking Dio, 1983." and just continue on like that.

Some people just don't know their history, man. AND, you're forgetting Helter Skelter.

>>44635870
Cause Wedge got out of the business, man. He's gone straight, *respectable*. And having Luke "I won The 1977 Death Battle of the Bands and Guitar Master" Skywalker would mean that everyone would only talk about that and not what Wedge is doing RIGHT NOW.
>>
Man, I knew the FFG Kedalbe/Keldabe was nerfed, but I never quite realized how badly. Mask of the Pirate Queen expects one to have trouble dispatching a single Marauder Corvette.

Having them trade punches with full blown ISD2s in Empire at War was excessive and clearly a gameplay consideration, but this goes too far in the other direction.

They tried to make her sexy and made her entire combat style "Erotic". But those proportions are disturbing to the entire thing just comes across as nauseatingly bad.

They also tried to ape DMC's ridiculousness but they simultaneously went too far and not far enough. DMC never took it too far. Asura's Wrath took it too far but absolutely OWNED it. Bayonetta is somewhere in between and just kinda tacky.

But yeah, that games dialouge was less than perfect. But fun. Which is why people like it. MGR is just a fun game.
>>
>>44636932
dead space should stay dead. fucking fanbase crawled up issac's ass as "the one true protagonist" too much. The devs kept trying to actually kill him off and the playtesters kept going "so where's the real ending"
>>
>>44636878
They tried to make the game in house, but couldn't get the speedy action right, so outsourced it to Platinum, because they had experience in making such games. Pretty sure it's part of the official canon of the MGS series (much to the hatred of "true" fans because of the high flying action, while forgetting that Big Boss could bench press a mobile fortress, early generation cyborg ninja Grey Fox could hold up REX, Solidus in power armour could fuck up a bunch of RAYs with an SMG, etc.)

But there is a difference between shooting out optics/barely avoiding being crushed, and tossing a Ray over the Horizon. It sort of trivializes older struggles to have them so incredibly outmatched.

And stomping on Raiden' "Good End" sorta sucked.

It was Cocoon in Peace Walker. If you go under it, it'll make a stomping attach where it slams the body down. Boss can, if you're fast enough, grab a hold of it and push back, avoiding being crushed.

>barely avoiding being crushed

Fox didn't avoid being crushed, he got under REX's foot and held the machine up while having a chat with Snake.

>It sort of trivializes older struggles

That's like saying a modern soldier flying into a combat zone, running around and shooting shit, then evacing back to base for some R&R is trivializing the struggles of people who fought WW1 in trenches.

You saying a up to date cyborg and synthetic muscle powered metal gears should have the same fights as early generation cyborgs and ponderous nuke launchers had?

Pilots
------
Dash Rendar [Push the Limit, Heavy Laser Cannon, Kyle Katarn, Outrider, Engine Upgrade] (58)

Poe Dameron [BB-8, Proton Torpedoes, Push the Limit, Autothrusters] (42)
Standard Space Donut, now using Poe to hunt down Auto-thrusters with green turn into barrel roll into boost + focus.
Was thinking about using Blue Ace for even higher mobility, but with only 2 ships on the table I figured the increased survivability was more important.

Honestly, the design is just to mate the smaller TIE fighter aesthetics with the capital ship aesthetics of the Star Destroyers, showing that it's a much smaller ship, so borrows some aesthetics from their smaller ships.

But his only real love was Duty.

Also wasn't the super-ladies-man thing from those two or three TCW cartoon-based books by Traviss that nobody ever talks about other than to cite as evidence killing Pellaeon was likely NOT her choice? They are not hated like Order 66, Impcom, and everything she wrote that was set after endor, or liked like Hard contact and maybe tripple zero. They are in that same grey area as True Colors where nobody really gives a fuck.

Also few people even read them because even before Traviss herself turned on the TCW cartoon her fans did not overlap with fans of the show.

I bought a couple packs then traded with a friend who plays rebels. If you can find them cheap on eBay then grab them by all means, but most of the wave 2 stuffs is still pricey there.

Had an idea for a list for Schwiggity Schwang (X-Wing). I like it, and I'm a tournament vet from way back. So fuck your shit if you don't. Just thought I'd share it, scrubs.

4 x Academy Pilots

2 x Scimitar Squadron bombers, each with:

2 x XX-25 S-Thread Tracers, 1 x Proton Torpedo, 1 x Extra Munitions, 1 x Munitions Failsafe.

For 98 pts, you get six TIEs, two of which have 6 HP. The bombers use Focus to fire the tracers and give the TIEs and themselves TLs on one target per bomber, then the fighters focus fire on whoever has the pile of TL tokens until they're fucking wreckage. Each bomber has four tracer rounds and two torps, and don't lose ammo if they miss their targets.

The thing with Filoni, his fanwank includes everyone else's fanwank (Bane, Darksaber, Asajj, Cyborg Maul, RepCom, among others).
Of course, in the end it's still fanwank, just that it's deemed official by Disney/Lucas.

Not a fun of cluster missiles, i prefer concussion or homing since they can be fired from range 3 like tracers. I could try the list you posted with concussions, even if they make you spend the TL you still have a focus and 2 dice turning into hits automatically.

He wrote Star Wars Aftermath, which is a relatively shitty book.

Heres more for you, pasta from a few threads back...

>I've been following the reviews on Amazon, and to say the least Wendig and his fans are spinning like crazy. There's very little "rage" (as the headline says), just lots of disappointed readers who've never been exposed to his eccentric and off-putting style until now. The rage is supplied by author and fans: they have come up with new excuse after new excuse for why Star Wars fans are awful people, starting with the tin-foil hat conspiracy about an "Alliance" of EU diehards who refuse to accept a different version. Read through the negative reviews, and you'll find instead readers who say that they have no problem letting go of the old EU, but that Wendig's is the worst SW book they've read. EVER. Second dodge, all SW fans who don't like his book are homophobes now. Once Wendig's fans were primed, though, EVERYBODY'S a homophobe. One reviewer on Amazon who identified himself as bi said he was surprised to find that he was supposedly an enemy of gays just because he panned the book.
>Then there's the suggestion by Wendig that the one-star reviews aren't legitimate, because they probably didn't really buy the book. That's simple to rebut: use Amazon's search filter to isolate "verified purchase" reviews only, and guess what? One-star reviews *still* run two-to-one against five-star reviews. When the "verified purchase" dodge didn't work, they tried making an issue of whether the reviewers had ever reviewed anything else (but it was found that a lot of the five-star reviews were first-time reviews).

>When these attacks failed to achieve the goal of making disappointed Star Wars fans shut up, Wendig and company started getting even more creative. More than one reader noted that Wendig's choppy style is so badly written that reading it makes you feel like you're having a seizure, Wendig's supporters tried to claim that the reviewer was making a joke about *epileptics*. However, it doesn't take much searching to find Wendig himself talking about bad writing causing *him* a "seizure" on his own blog, just a few months ago. Just the same, they are striving to find any word or nuance that can be twisted into an attack. And yet it's the Star Wars readers who are supposedly in a "rage".
>Wendig doesn't come off nearly so civil and gentlemanly on Twitter and his blog as he does in a friendly interview like this. He has been inciting hatred among his fans, and mocking Star Wars readers with something akin to the classic "ha ha got your money sucks to be you" attitude.
>It's not hard to see why Star Wars fans don't like Wendig's take. It's clear that he doesn't have as much respect for the source as he pretends. Even beyond his awful writing style, he comes up with stuff that would sound more at home in The Jetsons, like "space diapers". Instead of escapist adventure, he wants to make SW a mirror of the real world, so much so that when the imperial "cops" arrive in the first scene to take on a crowd pulling down a statue, his description of them sounds exactly like the LAPD, complete with red strobe lights. He retreads gags from the movie that were great – in the movies – but reuses them in disconcerting ways, suggesting that Han Solo "always says" fly casual, as if it's just some dumb catch phrase he repeats all the time (he's not Han Solo, he's Ace Rimmer), while Admiral Ackbar is going around worrying about traps.

Wendig has a contract for 2 more books

Now, why would the empire continue blowing up planets? It's a strategic move for alderaan (if they're secretly funding rebels) and yavin base, but after the first few planet side bases get #wrecked, they'd stop clustering together and operate in cells, or stay as a fleet since the first Death Star can't target individual ships. You don't blow up an occupied planet for six or seven poorly armed rebels, and I imagine that the Death Star moves extremely slowly through hyperspace, or at least is not very manueverable because they didn't jump into line of sight with the rebel base.

So!

I bought the old Republic encyclopedia.

Very pretty book.

It's set during the time of the tor, with the sith empire and old Republic truce, but there aren't any game mechanics referenced. It's very much a campaign setting type book.

Has a short timeline of major events, 40 pages on the Republic, 42 on the Jedi order, 36 on the sith empire, 46 on the sith themselves, 8 on the Mandalorians, 38 on the underworld, 8 on the hutt cartel, 26 on species, and 60 on planets.

Very pretty book with good layout , and definitely enough to serve as a campaign setting for an old Republic campaign around this time period. Even has a decent index.

Only a few gripes.

I'd have liked a bit more text and less focus on pretty visuals; and it has a shitty slip cover. Under the slip cover, is the cover art without the title text. The some at least still contains the title, however.

They use very Jedi to refer to any Jedi that don't tow the party line. Whether they sometimes use dark side powers, or simply ignore the rules and orders of the council, is irrelevant.

Without diving into the wook, I couldn't say about Qui Gon - he always truck me as very Zen, in that he didn't base his decisions on the will of masters or council, but on the ebb and flow of the will of the force.

Grey Jedi poster guy is Jolee Bindo and Kyle Katarn - the guys who basically say "code ain't important, what you do, is" - worse so with Katarn, because his philosophy is pure ends and means - specifically that you can run around force choking people and its all ok.

the very worst Grey Jedi thinking is the idea that there is no Light or Dark sides of the force - the force is the force, so there is nothing inherently wrong with using the force for good intentions, no matter how you use it. Which is not only wrong, its delusional.

Then you have the Potentium heretics, who honestly believe a balanced jedi should adhere to BOTh the light and the dark side.
>>
>>44642971
The way I see it, qui-gon is a good example of a gray Jedi (living force and stuff). He tries to let the force act through him, not master the force like the main Jedi order.

Grey Jedi shitting out force lightning are on their way to darkness.

Although to be honest, I like the way that grey Jedi are handled in the original d20 Star Wars system. You can meditate them away with force points, but every use of force lightning gives you a dark side point. They can choose to spend force points to remove the dark side point, but doing that makes you weaker

>Grey Jedi never make sense to me.
Really? It's pretty much a blanket term for anyone not philosophically tied to the Jedi or Sith but still trained to some extent in their divergent orthodoxy.

The Sith are a divergent faction of Jedi whose philosophy is a reaction to that of the Jedi and much of their tradition is to some degree informed by that heritage. "Grey Jedi" is someone conceptually similar but unaffiliated with the Sith. I'd argue Revan was all three at different times.

It's still canon you nignog.

And it's not based on hate, it's based on aggression.

And you're forgetting that the definition of Jedi used to be really flexible.

>>44643064
Potentium states it's not the Force that has a Light and Dark Side but the person who uses it.

And Luke used Force Lightning in the EU without being Dark Side.
>>
>>44643077
I don't mind that approach.
>>44643064
The original Je'daii order was all about avoiding straying too far to *either* side of the Force, and instead staying neutral and in control of yourself.

Then they got rakatan force saber, with beams powered directly by the user channeling the dark side rather than another power source, and it was the only weapon they had that could fight off the rakatan invaders trying to wipe them out.

The order fell out of balance, schismed into fanatics who reactionarily swung full light side and others determined to hoard power went full dark side in case of future attacks, and they split, with only a few of them staying neutral and rational.

(dawn of the jedi)

And yes, this is Legends canon, not nu Disney canon. New Disney canon a shit. Legends canon mixed quality, but it of what I've read /seen, basically all good before 30 bby.

Grey Jedi are also the preferred "orthodoxy" of choice for super special OC donut steel characters. Notably, people who don't have the chops to adhere to a code when playing a character, nor willing to accept balancing limits on their behavior, nor suffer the consequences when they cross those bounds.

They want the best of both worlds - power without responsibility, and the force without consequences.

I'm gonna catch flak for "nofunallowed" "badwrongfun" - but I really dislike it when people want to shortcut their way to a lightsaber and force powers without working for either.

Even playing a Sith requires an adherence to chaotic evil stupidity.
>>
>>44643077
Yeah, I liked that system as well. Dark powers that are strong, powerful and cheap as fuck to play with, but for every use it corrupts you, and it corrupts you absolutely. And if you do redeem, by the time you got completely purified from too much corruption, you'll be left with almost nothing.
I sure hope MMBN4 and 5 weren't the only vidya that use this, Bioware and Fable's morality system are boring.
>>
>>44643277
By the OJO's standards Nomi Sunrider would be a Grey Jedi.

Hell, the Original Jedi Code would be Grey Jedi territory, despite the fact it's objectively better than the normal code.
>>
>>44643277
You seem to be basing your assertion on the OJO, which has been shown to be very wrong.

>And Luke used Force Lightning in the EU without being Dark Side.

You really shouldn'y use the EU to justify your arguments, considering the majority of the EU is shit.

Lets not forget that Sheev could literally give people the force with a wave of his hand, and Luke turned to the dark side and became his apprentice.

>still canon
In what new canon source is Juyo mentioned, and or referred to, as a Jedi style? Unless its mentioned in some background conversation in TCW, or one of the new canon books, I highly doubt it still is.

Also, Legends Canon is not the same thing as Actual Canon.

Juyo being whatever the fuck people think it is, is Legends, and extremely open to interpretation.

>>44643324
There is a very big difference in what Grey Jedi could be interpreted as, and what Grey Jedi usually are in relation to characters.

Point is this, any philosophy that says you can get away with using dark side shit with good intentions, is objectively wrong - and thats the crux of the grey jedi issue.

Sith are chaotic stupid, and movie era Jedi are a bunch of puritanical religious fanatics.

Both are pretty stupid.

Correllian Jedi are less stupid, and kotor era Jedi (pre abstinence laws, old Jedi code) are pretty decent.

I already have:
>infiltrate suspected rebel cell
>investigate possible link between pirates and shady governor

I had an ISB cell in one of my EotE games that had coopted a spice lab, and started manufacturing tainted spice to kill off the underworld scum in an affluent city.

Look at the Wook. It's nuCanon.

"Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force."

The only thing philosophy eise that the OJO was right about was not being consumed by your anger and hate and not using the Dark Side. Suppressing your emotions was a terrible idea. Accepting your anger and learning to live with it was the actual way.
>>
>>44643277
Nice dubs, and I can see where you might get that impression. But the idea there are ONLY mainline Jedi and Sith in the Galaxy irks me. I'm okay with the eternal struggle between those two traditions dominating galactic history but there is room for more ideas and interactions with the Force.

For example, I'm preparing a game with a cabal of Force users, all former Jedi or Sith, who have come to believe that Force-users are inherently exploiting the Force and seek to wipe them out. Are they Jedi or Sith? Grey Jedi? Something else?
>>
Watching the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon.

That Padawan that Grievous smashed was a complete scrub.
>>
>>44643399
Movie Sith on the other hand seems stupid evil than chaotic to me.
Kinda makes me want to see a buddy cop pastiche featuring a stupid good Jedi and a chaotic stupid sith work together, like exposing a Hutt corruption in an assbackward planet somewhere in the galaxy.
That ends with both killing themselves or corrupting/redeeming the other.
>>
>>44643496

That's a great idea, until you find out accidentally that some of the city's influential elite were also partaking, and private bounty hunters have been hired to seek revenge.
>>
There's a lot of Force traditions in the Galaxy, and none can be said to be objectively right. Some are definitely wrong, like the Sith, but others, like the Aing-Tii or the Jensaarai or the Green Jedi just have a different interpretation of the Force.

Nothing in that about Juyo, jedi using juyo, or juyo not being evil as fuck.

I agree about the emotion suppression though - it leads to a loss of humanity, and its never really represented, considering some jedi (Plo Koon) actually do have emotions and care a lot about people around them

>>44643551
There are a lot of different force traditions, with different views. But they all have codes of conduct and philosophy.
Grey Jedi PC's are often made by players who don't want something to limit them. Like a code of conduct or a philosophy to interpret

>Form VII, also known asJuyoorVaapad, was the seventh form oflightsaber combat. It was considered the most aggressive and unpredictable form, earning the nickname 'the Ferocity Form'. Because of this, it was generally favored by Dark-siders, though it was practiced by Jedi as well. Notable practitioners of Form VII wereDarth MaulandMace Windu.

It's aggressive, yes, but not inherently evil. It's favored by Darksiders because it's easy for them to use.

One thing I like about F&D is it gives each a personal framework for values and morality. If one of my players couldn't produce a philosophy or similar in favor of their own free will, I would really make them double down on what their character would do.

The styles have been around for a really long time. Considering that the Jedi were on a War footing for a really long time, it makes sense.
>>
>>44644032

Double-bladed sabres cropping up more during TCW is put down to the Jedi Order becoming more militarised; they would have likely had records of double bladed sabre usage from their past, and such weapons were very effective weapons of war in the hands of a Jedi.

So, some Jedi made new ones, or old ones were rediscovered/refurbished, in the face of the war.

Potentium was always bullshit, just like all the crap that came with the Vong.

But Kyle' s "Mess with the dark side kiddo" in academy was pure gameplay mechanics, and his use of it in outcast was a near-fall to the darkside. His use in JK was partly mechanics, but also helped lead to his fall in MotS.
