What are some good lectures to look up in regards to Foundation of Design?
I think design is some thing that comes naturally. So most of the time you just have to try many different things before you get a feel for what is right.
I remember seeing a video by FZDSchool on the subject though. Where he talks about hitting the sweet spot between under and over designed.

the design class was alot about function and communication. Go get some car design or industrial design classes. the main diffrence is that illustration is focused alot on "looking cool" and industrial design is all about having a functionail and efficient design. concept art for entertainment is basically the middle ground. believable enough for it sorta exist and a look that fits the function (not allways sexy cool looking stuf)

whats a good affordable light table?

Alright, everytime I try and buckle down and really get fucking good, I always feel over whelmed by all the books and such. Even if I just try and read Fun With a Pencil I still am confused on where to start. How do you guys read art books? Do I just read everything and try to replicate something? Am I missing something? Am I prime autismo?

yeah it's hard to explain I guess but what I mean is I'm trying to just focus on finishing Fun With a Pencil, but I don't know how to approach the book. The book doesn't really tell the reader when to follow along so I don't know what exercises I'm supposed to be doing. Like there's a whole page on baby faces before the pages that explain the basic head shape. Am I missing something?

You fell for the ebin menes. If you must do Loomis, start with "Drawing Heads & Hands". "Fun with Pencil" was his first book and he didn't know how to write back then. Well, later he also didn't know how to write, but it was better.
Also it's fucking 2 0 1 6, come on! You have youtube and Proko videos that can give you Loomis knowledge handed in easy and fun format in like 10 minutes or so, so you can grasp a concept...

Any recommendations for a good tutorial set on how to draw 3D correctly w/ perspective and all that? Everything of mine turns out symbolly even though I attempt to draw in 3D.
I've got Drawabox.com and I know of Proko (but god his jokes are cringey).
Loomis and Vilppu are meh.
I'm willing to put the time and effort in. But when my attempted 3D art looks symbol-like, it's irritating.
I've got a scanner/drawing tablet so that should be a major help.
