Try drawing the figure in a more interesting perspective, the way you drew the face and the upper torso begs for a 3/4 view unless you wanted a profile shot but keep in mind how far the torso can twist and turn.
Overlapping forms and being aware of what you cannot see in perspective will help you provide a more solid drawing otherwise you will end up with a flat and incorrect drawing.
As for the slime thing, try to have whatever it is interact with the figure some more for an exciting drawing, maybe?

I just can't take you seriously. Ever.

As a non-porn artists, I greatly appreciate you guys not using a porno OP image, it could be a bit awkward with roomates

Next up, jamming an ipod touch loaded with vilppu vids up the vagina so the baby can feel before it can feel.
>tfw all you do is study photographs
>want to start a dA/tumblr but don't know what to draw
>tfw dont have any ideas
>think of something cool, then get bored of it
How do I come up with stuff that i can stick with to the end?
>>2372319
do something for your mommy, itll force you to finish it while she looks begrudgingly at what a failure of an artist you are
I find that masturbating a lot helps me stick to lots of things
click two random articles on wikipedia and merge them together
make it a good as physically and spiritually possible
Can someone make any suggestions as to what's wrong with this?
Something looks off with the angling or proportions in the upper part of the face but I can't tell what.
>>2371357
I think its great but if i had to say what you think is wrong with it try pushing in the left cheek
>>2371373
I Think I tried that, but since I've moves things around since then I'll give it another try.
Read the sticky, post in the beginner thread instead of making one just for yourself.

The blind leading the blind.
Not really where to post this but I consider what I do a type of art. I do concrete overlays and my company is looking for all sorts of cool designs and patterns. Post some neat floor designs and I'll post some of the work I've already done to give you an idea of what I mean.

as legitimately interested as i am, this probably isnt the right place to post. Theres probably some obscure subreddit for people like you.
Reasons why you should learn how to correctly draw proportions and practice hands
1) You want to do drawings with good proportions and nice hands
2) See 1
Because stuff without consistent proportions and compulsive hand-hiding looks amateurish and bad.
because better artists than you practice those things
Are there any good books or websites that give homework on perspective? I'm trying to really learn perspective fundamentals, but I don't have something to keep me focused and guide me at the start. I work best when I have exercises I can follow until I become competent enough on my own.
I've got some perspective books and videos downloaded, but they just go over the concepts and don't give much in the way of homework.
Draw simple objects such as your phone/pc/desk/everything around you basically.

Draw boxes in 1-p/2-p/3-p/4-p and then try to draw stuff within those boxes. I instinctively warm up my drawings doing that cus that shit's fun.
Read up on Scott Robertson How To Draw then get his book on drawing Hot wheels car.
Yea, it sounds gay, but the hot wheels car book is full of exercises following up from How to Draw. That book won't be teaching you how to draw kids cars, it'll be training your eye to see perspective a lot better.
Without an art school its very hard to learn to draw. I am really, really poor and i have no one to teach me or anything like that. Because of that I dont make any progress, simply because i have wrong habits and it got into my head so hard that i struggle with the basics everyday. There are no people to tell me that its good or bad, so i just move on and now i am a retard.
You cant win if you are poor.
>>2370802
im not sure if this is bait, but if you tripfag yourself as" cc me please im a pathetic poor fuck", ill help you every time i see you post
>>2370804
I dont know what are you talking about my friend.

quick question.... have you read the sticky?
i heard that smoking cigarettes is a good way to steady your hand for detailed work, is it the nicotine or the other shit in the smoke that gets the job done?
also general art hacks thread.
things you do to improve your drawing such as substance and or tools.
please mark this thread for deletion if its too of topic.
I drink lots of bleach to calm my nerves. You should try it too, OP.

A lot of adult/hentai artists work with a small buttplug in their rectum. Sounds weird, but apparently it gently stimulates the prostate and increases focus
>>2369651
Smoking cigarettes is a great way to smell bad, waste thousands of dollars a year and destroy your health; it's not good for much else.
You should probably practice instead op (search Dynamic Sketching on youtube). If your hands are still really that shaky after practicing those exercises for several hours every day for 3 months you probably should just learn how to use vectors instead of raster digitally or paint like Pollock instead of Rembrandt
Anyone using Clip Studio Pro here?
I ve been having problems saving my 3D models as female characters. They get saved as female and male tags...
Tried searching google but nothing came up...
I am really puzzled...
pic related
left is the pose i made and right is the saved pose.
>>2367961
don't use 3d model .. OP
you will not learn anything
>>2367965
Well its a good way for me to learn poses and body structure.
>>2367961
Simple. Put a female model and drop the pose on it. The pose just have "male model" as default.
What does /ic/ think of clutch pencils? I always see the Staedtler mars technico recommended, but what does it offer over other brands?
Also general pencil thread.
>>2367817
i literally use these to draw my comics
>inb4 wah u use german tools no fair theyre expensive wah
i collect made in germany art utensils because of their rarity and status. I'll do fine with made in timor leste pencils and inks. its your skill that decides if youre a good artist or not
Mars Technicos are what I chose because they're sold everywhere. All the other brands I've seen are only available in specialty art stores.
Staedtler is a reliable brand. Them and Pentel are my two favorites.

Koh-I-Noor Toison D'Or 5900
Nuff said.
Mine on the right
Thoughts?
need more midtone
Shadow should be closer at the sides and farther at the back with the light coming from that direction.

you don't really know what you are doing.
I read the Sticky but I'm still confused on what 'starting' means. I want to be a digital artist but the Guide makes no sense. Does it want me to buy some books and do exercises? Or what? I just want to learn how to do Digital Art, not read books.
jesus if you want to make artt just fucking make art it's not some secret process fucking christ
Then don't read books.
Just don't come crying to us when you've been drawing for three years and start to realize that people are making the same progress as you in a third of the time. You'll be sitting there reinventing the wheel because you can't be assed to spend a few hours a week actually investing in your improvement.
You're not special. You're going to make the same stupid mistakes everyone else does when they start out. The point of the sticky is to direct you towards resources that address the most common things artists must learn.
"I just want to learn without knowing what I'm doing or investing a single cent in my art career"
Lmao @ OP

Bring us your roughs, your storyboards, your pencil tests etc. Talk about industry, schools, the hopelessness of it all, how we all gonna make it etc.
If you're gonna post animation that isn't yours give source or state that it isn't yours.
Keep shitposting to a minimum. Don't feed the trolls.

If anyone's wondering where the OP clip is from, it's from a pretty nice short animation called 'Pinched', by David Vandervoort.
