So, I want to buy a tablet. Recommendations? Budget is 200 bucks. A friend wants me to buy a cheap 70$ Genius as a first tablet because he says they are quite tanky. Should I?
Sticky says Bamboo are a no-go because of their size, and I have never heard of the rest of the alternatives listed, can anyone give me some advice?

What's the best way to get the most out of doing a still life study?
Is it best to de-construct the object you're drawing?
Is de-construction necessary to learn how to better implement your study into you imagination?
Is it better to pay more attention to the general contour of shapes in general???

Both. Check your construction, plum lines, proportions and your shapes against each other to figure out mistakes. Try to understand how the construction results in a certain shape
Arriving at a crisp contour: What is your preferred method of laying it over the sketch? Do you let your arm do the brushing, or do you use various tools, such as Pen?

How bad are the drivers for huion? ugee? I've heard nice things about these chinese tablets aside from dead pixels, but the common warning for these is the drivers are a nightmare to first install.
Also longevity vs wacom? Has anyone owned a chinese one longer than 2 years?
Longevity wasn't there for my huion or yiynova (Though that one ultimately died because my ex broke it but it was on its way out anyway). Never had issue with dead pixels. Drawing on them was all right but nowhere near the cintiq but in terms of lcd tablets, very affordable option.
The drivers, however, yes are a fucking nightmare to install. I suggest researchingthe one you want and what drivers you'll need. Some obvious/notso obvious rules for it:
>Don't plug in the tablet first
>Restart after
>Make sure no other tablet drivers are installed

Hello there. I'm posting here to get some good (or bad) comments and advices in first. I am getting a forearm sleeve tattoo. I allready have parts of my forearm tattooed so now I am doing the rest of it. Tattoo motive is sea- This is what i've got for now. Got a friend who is a good drawer also on this. My question is, what do you suggest to do to improve or somehow change if it needs changing. Main parts of the tattoo is ship, compas and treasure chest. Hello /ic/. What do you use for displaying your prints?
I want to get something like this to mount on my wall, but it's like $800-$1400 which I can't afford while being an amateur. Right now I'm using itoya art portfolios on my coffee table.

it's fucking ugly, unless you have it in your studio to display/store your personal art prints because you have so many (even then, I'm not convinced) just downsize your collection or store some and rotate them out occasionally.

I print mine on poster paper and just spray glue them to foamboard. You're looking at like $1 for the print, and maybe $2 for the board (if you can get the print at cost like I do).
