Post custom recipes that you've created that are tasty as fuck and healthy.

>1 head of fresh broccoli
> 1 clove of garlic
> 1/4 of onion
> 1 can of black beans
> 1/2 can of corn
> some taco seasoning

First sauteed the diced onion and chopped garlic. Add beans and corns. Then add broccoli and the taco seasoning. Mix it until the broccoli is al dente or whatever.

For the dressing just get some greek yogurt and add some lemon juice and pepper.

Lather up a tortilla with the dressing and spread the other stuff.

Every time I watch a Delray Misfits video I'm reminded of what exactly not to do to achieve my fitness goals

I watched a video where they were doing legs and Lenny was squatting like 2pl8 but was literally bending his knees slightly and then standing up. That was one rep.

It also serves as a reminder to never visit Florida. It's basically Bizarro California.

Hey /fit/

Would it be possible to make your own weight plates from lead if you happen to have a lot lying around? Have any of you tried anything similar, or should I just stop being a cheap fuck and buy some proper plates?

yeah but you'd need a forge, then you could melt it down and shape it into plates.

They'd be crude but you could chip at it until all the plates are the right weight

First off yeah, I read the sticky.

I'm a skinnyfat guy. There's not a lot of fat there but it's gone to my stomach, slight love handles and thighs.

I've been going to the gym around 3 months now. My routine consists of jogging for 12 mins or so, walking 5 mins, jogging as long as I can after that. I get my breath back and head to the room in my gym that has all the muscle training machines. I use every single one that trains legs and arms. I lift as high as I can manage between 8-12 reps on.

My meals consist of oatmeal for breakfast, two brown bread sandwiches with roast pork in them, apples, grapes and sometimes crisps (I know they're bad to have but the ones I have are low fat and the best of the worst, I'm still getting used to eating better). Dinner is either: chicken, potatoes, broccoli and carrots
pork chop, potatoes, broccoli and kale
mincemeat, carrots, pasta
sausage casserole with brown bread
on saturdays pork chop, chips and baked beans

I have no clue if I should bulk or cut. I have no clue if the exercises I'm doing are suitable for me or even worth doing. I've gained muscle I've never had on my biceps and I look better than I used to but I don't want to waste my time.

Should I be eating more or less? In either case, is what I'm eating ok or am I wasting my time? Keep in mind I am allergic to eggs and nuts so I can't eat these.

People go on and on about free weights but I'm only a beginner and I'm comfortable with the machines, and have seen some results from them. I'm really afraid to go into the free weight area because I have no idea how much to lift etc.

What should I do?

What you need to do is do compound lifts. Put a lot of time in research, study what different muscles do, study correct form etc. You need to understand this shit or you will go directly to snapcity instead of gainsvile.

If you are afraid of other people judging you (newsflash, they won't judge you if you have good form-aka you put some time in research), go very early in the morning or very late in the evening (like 11pm - it will probably be almost empty).

'lifting' is for people too unathletic or unambitious to do a real sport like rowing, triathlon, boxing, et cetera

there is absolutely nobody that isn't some insecure nerd that would rather not play sports and be part of a team trying to achieve excellence than an aspie squatting on invisible cocks for 3 hours a week and pretending like it's some evangelistic higher goal

real athletes EMBARRASS 'lifters'

factor in that 99% of lifters on sites like the misc and 4chan actually look worse than athletes and don't even train to look good, they WANT TO LOOK GOOD but do powerlifting (?), get a disproportionate ugly body, and 'bulk' (get fat). So they actually end up looking UGLIER, FATTER, and MORE BLOATED than before. They are actually becoming UGLIER by 'lifting'.

why do you think so many ugly manlets do it? do you think 99% of the gymcels in the gym could EVER, EVER row a 6:30 on the ergometer, complete an ironman, etc? No. They don't have the genetics or willpower. That's why they constantly post those cringe motivation pics. All they can do is levitate some greasy rusted weights while blasting cringe deathmetal through their speakers while getting nowhere year after year.

Just cancelled my gym membership and bought a pair of running shoes. Good riddance.

Just do a REAL FUCKING SPORT. And no, 'powerlifting' (aka fatlifting) is not a sport. dota2 is more of a sport than obeselifting.
