Bodyweight exercises are considered to be vile faggotry on this board. A guy posted in a CBT yesterday about his progress, with calisthenics only - he didn't look bad, yet he got torn a new asshole for being a "bodiweitfag".
Why do you guys feel this way? Isn't a good bodyweight routine a way to obtain functional strength and look decent?

I went to snap city yesterday on a warm up set of dead lifts. I always hated them but thought my form was spot on.
My working set was supposed to be 365x5. I was warming up on 275 and pulled it, right as it got above my knees my entire lower back loudly cracked. I could feel and hear like 10 pops. Dropped the weight and left the gym.
Yesterday it was sore, warm, and a little numb. Today its board stiff and really sore. I have a dr appointment Tuesday to make sure it's muscular.

Been doing lots of research and most experts suggest improving hip mobility. Literally everyone to be more specific.
As well as making Sure you don't have any muscular imbalances.

i start with pullups, then when i get weaker i switch to chinups, then after that i do rows.

I actually first started at 16, but stopped 1 year later. I am nearly 30 years old now though, and I've been at it for nearly 6 years straight.
I already made all my mistakes at 16-17 when I first lifted, so I came into the gym at 24 already knowing what NOT to do.
19, eight years ago, definitely wish I had started from child, but I had no way of knowing that then. I started obese and it's a constant struggle to count calories to not get back there again.
16. People thought I was on steroids during my senior year. Fast forward now (19 years) and a lot of those heavy lifts took their toll on my body. I'm kind of fucked up now lmfao.

There's fat kunce everywhere and they cancelled that music festival. Barely anyone actually exercises. We did no sports at all when I was in high school. Americans lift actual weights in high school!
