I'm thinking of building my own rack.
This is the design I came up with so far.
First of all, if you could build your own power rack, what features would it certainly have? What would you change on your current rack?
Does the rack look structurally sound?
Will the bench support my weight?
Is there enough room in front of the rack (+/-85cm) for deadlifts?
Is 1 layer of osb(18mm) + 1 layer of rubber (15mm) enough padding to protect my floor while deadlifting?
I have not decided yet how I will make the J-hooks, simple bolts with a washer...

Honestly the biggest things ive gotten from squats is confidence with heavier weights and actually pushing yourself hard. It also showed me the importance of proper lifting technique, the more cues i remembered the higher weight i would squat.

There's am obvious trend I see in the gym. Guys who go hard and lift to failure are jacked. Guys who give 50% (and are natural) look like shit, almost always.

I personally quit gym about 3 months ago and since then i only 500 push-ups, 100 pull ups and 100 dips every day/ And gain more muscles than from going to gym for 1 and half year.
Id also know one guy who waste in jail 6 months. He said that people there just do thousand reps of bodyweight exercises and make decent gains.

The best way to win that hyper trophy is to do multiple sets of multiple reps in the 60-80% range of you 1RM. Can you get gains from heavy singles? Sure. Can you get gains from knocking out rep after rep after rep with low weights? Sure. But the first strategy is the one that works best for most people.
