Hey, /fit/, so I started lifting about 4 months ago. I'm really pleased with my progress, but not with my back. I hate working out my back. The range of motion is more limited and I never go away feeling satisfied. As of now, I basically stick to wide rows and neutral grip bent-over rows.
Anyone have any good tips or insights for working out your back with dumbbells? Care to share routines, etc.

Does eating clean make a noticeable difference to your body composition?
Say I was getting my micronutrients but still occasionally eating biscuits, donuts and cheez whiz for example, would it actually benefit to switch to a macro controlled diet and would it result in a lower BF and better muscle preservation?
This is all assuming maintenance calories and excluding excercise, so does clean eating stand on its own and and there any good scholarly articles around that discuss this?

Depending on your definition of clean it might have a significant impact on your health. Body composition less so, as long as things like cals and prots are in check.

OP it matters hugely what you eat, calories in calories out and IIFYM are huge meme diets. There was one stidy i read that had people on a 2000 calorie diet of whole healthy foods vs a group that was on a 2000 high sugar and fat diet and the latter group suffered in every health indicating department.
Anyone ever thought about or built their own home gym? It's a little sad but it's becoming a life goal of mine to build up a half decent gym so that I don't even have to leave the house to workout.

Barbell, weights, a squat rack, a horizontal bar and some dumbbells / a roman chair for accessory exercises.
Pretty much for 1-1.5 years of gym expenses you can buy your own. It's a no brainer for me if you have the space.
