Newb questions here, cause I'm totally new to this whole exercise and health thing.

I just started working out, I'm 240 pounds and 5'10, not really any muscle. How should I adjust my food intake if I'm trying to both lose weight and add a lot of muscle? Also what are good routines for brokefags who have no exercise equipment or access to gyms?

What part of your foot are you placing pressure. I think I remember knee pain being a symptom of excess weight on the front of your foot. This could be caused by several thing. The first suggested one is just not planting your heels. Rippltits says that the major case of that is not spreading your knees properly, remember your knees should track over the angle of the feet.
Or you could be placing the bar too high on your back , not having a neutral gaze or just poor ankle mobility.

So I'm a fatass, 6'0, 340, male.

From several sources, I read that if I burn 2500 calories a day, I will lose 2 pounds a week. I decided to go on a 2300 diet(before christmas, even. Figured if I can make it through christmas I can make it through 2016) to give me some wiggle room from 2500.

I was discussing it with somebody, and they said when they were even more overweight than they are now, they were gaining weight on a 600 calorie diet.

I read somewhere(even on here) that if you dont take in the cals, you dont gain weight and shit, right? She said it was cause of a metabolism disease she had. Can that even happen? I thought physics and whatnot said otherwise? I just want to know if I'm going to accomplish anything with a 2300 cal diet or if I should shoot for sub1000 or something.

I just wanted to take slow steps in dieting and not just flat out starve myself.
