I have a problem /fit/

Seems like I can't get big like I want with abs. Either I can grow muscles and gain fat in the process, losing definition, or I can lose a bunch of fat and muscle in the process and don't even look like I work out with clothes on

The first place my fat goes and last it comes off is my belly. What do?

Am i allergic to whey protein?
I've been using gold standard whey protein since the beginning of december and about 4 weeks later my skin is lumpy, itchy and red, pic related. I've had past allergies with milk.
Is there another way of getting the same protein intake but not too much higher in price?

My grandmother had hyperthyroidism and it unfortunately passed down to me, and as a man I attempt very hard to try and increase muscle mass but since my metabolism is so fast I gain no fat and the more I work out the more weight I'm losing. I'm already below 140 pounds at 5'11" and nothing seems to work. The best a doctor can do for me is give me pills to slow down my metabolism but that make cause depressing and severe weight gain which I don't want. I'm stuck in progress but though I feel stronger I still look like a twig. Help?

That pic is probably the most flexed I can get though I've kept to a rough every other day workout schedule I've had to stop for a few weeks because I start noticing weight loss.

Hey, /fit/.

My New Year's Resolution is to drop my boyfriend and try and get fit bc this dumb motherfucker thinks I'm gonna be chill with him telling me he'd dump me if I was anything other than chubby twink. :')

But I'm not intending to get traditional bodybuilder /fit/ - I'd really like to get one of those thick muscleguts. I came on here a while ago (and from what I understand in the sticky, this shouldn't be that hard) - but I was wondering.

What workout plan is good for that? I tried to find my notes for the old plan but it's like my laptop doesn't want me to follow my /fit/ dreams.

When doing cardio how do I not feel like death afterwards?

I've got the cardiovascular ability of a dead hambeast and just did 15 hill sprints and everything feels like death.

The feeling afterwards is the reason I don't do cardio, the cardio is easy, it's the burning sensation and the sore throat that I can't stand.

How do I prevent this

Do more cardio. Eventually it doesn't feel like that most of the time. It almost always sucks at the beginning of a workout. Ignore it, continue, and it will go away. Occasionally you will be rewarded with an effortless, pleasurable session where it feels like you could go forever.

Hi anons, anybody with any stories/advice on how exercise has affected their depression/anxiety? 29yo here with both but taken up distance running (15k+) and climbing this year. Both make me feel great for a short while afterwards, and the weight loss and general fitness is an obvious bonus, but the old symptoms inevitably creep back in after a coupla hours. Taking meds for 18 months but it feels like that they only work up to a point. Answers muchly appreciated

But no, I'm in a similar boat - bipolar 2 depressive over here, but my personal creed on this sort of thing has always been that medication won't make a mental disease go away - all it can do is make it manageable.

It's likely, though, if you exercise, it'll push out your depression for more time as you regulate exercise in general - don't go out expecting too much, but just take the nice feels you get.

It can be really nice. (I personally get similar feels when I clean/do chores while depressed, so that's really my only testimony for you.)
