No, but your body knows when you haven't eaten for 16+ hours. Increase in GH levels, Pushed body to fat burning rather than muscle among other things.
Can't deny benifits of IF. Plus it teaches you discipline and what real hunger actually is rather than those fat fucks who get slightly peckish or even thirsty and devour an entire cheesecake.

Hey /fit/, I need your help.

So lately I've been suffering from vague health problems and it's been causing me a lot of stress. Especially since some of it concerns my eyes, and not being able to see suddenly is scary as shit.

Now I'm not usually a stressful person, but I can see this get a lot worse in the future and I need a way to keep it together mentally, and maybe ideally calm my body down as much as possible. So I want to try meditation.

I tried looking at some books but I'm a bit confused by how many types of meditation there are, and what would be good for me as a beginner. Do you have any advice, or any useful links?

He has several other good videos on mediation as well, but start here.

I would also highly recommend the app Headspace, there's something like 10 days free and that will get your started. I found it very helpful.

Also I would recommend focusing on forming a habit of meditating daily before you start trying to meditate for long periods of time right off the bat. Just start with like 1 or 2 mins a day, seriously no more than that. I know you can do more, DON'T. The HABIT is the most important thing. Start with 1 or 2 mins a day for a week, then increase it to 3, then 4, and so on. Make it so easy that you can't find an excuse not to do it. Once you have a habit formed, then you'll want to aim for 15-30 mins a day.

Yeah, I can see that habit forming will be the hard part. Starting really slow is a good idea. Do you have a set moment in the day you like to meditate?

I would also recommend Sam harris and his books/lectures on meditation and mindfulness without religious superstition being involved. He has a great book called "Waking Up" and many good lectures on the topic. My favorite lecture of his is at this link below but it costs $5 to watch/download it. Well worth it though for the price to learn so much about mindfulness.

>being the autist that I am, I continue without doing anything about them
>after set 5, I deloaded the barbell and began walking to the lat pulldown machine

I went full beta and shortened my workout. I dipped the fuck out after that. Should I start going to a new gym? I've encountered numerous starers and it's distracting/creepy as fuck.

I work at a track centre, and there is one hammer thrower and shotputter who is. She benches 245 for a 1RM and squats nearly 4pl8.

I was leaving the gym today and tip the receptionist as always. Im 2 blocks away on my way home and out comes running the janitor with a free t-shirt for members who paid 12 consecutive months.

The receptionist fucked up again. I didn't even leave right away because I stood in the lobby to talk with people around the premises.

Now it crossed my mind how I hate to argue and just let things go on and how often bartenders, waitresses, and other people doing service that require a tip fucked up. I thought of how much money i wasted on these fuck ups too because you have to tip.

Well no more gratuity from me. Think of all the protein powder and creatine ill be able to afford now.

So I just bought a trainer for my bike. Problem is I need to install training tire for my back wheel. I can change a wheel no problem but this yellow wheel from hell is impossible to put on. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You don't have to use the training tire. if you have a road tire that will work fine but it will slip every so often. If you can't get it on yourself, get a cycle shop to do it for you.

I've tried it. The drawback is that you need exponentially more time in each the better you get.
You'll end up needing to excercise 8 hours c'mon you gotta eat big to get big if you do both and get good at them.
If you're a pro athlete, there are no drawbacks because working out is already your job.
