I know the memes where /fit/ insists that by looking at what you eat and how many calories you expend, you can control your weight. I don't think it is quite so simple, at least for thin people. It's obviously true fatties can always lose weight by eating more, but a lot of thin people can eat like crazy and not gain weight. The digestive tract is one continuous tube from start to end, so I think it's possible that not all the energy is absorbed from the food, and some passes through undigested. Yes, although when I train friends I have them do stronglifts.
It's just a preference but I think rows are easier to teach and become proficient at than powercleans.
Also stronglifts has a good app.
But they are both good programs and they both will do what you need them to do.
Honestly even if you do stronglifts, I still recommend reading the SS book, because it does a great job of explaining the basic methodology of linear progression and the lifts.

But if so, why do Marines and Spec Op guys focus on cardio over strength? I know they also strength train mostly with body weight, but cardio is their focus.
