I'd do SS or SL only for six weeks, then move on to a real program. Those types of programs for fat guys do more harm than good when it comes to looks. I would recommend start lifting as soon as possible but just keep your diet at a high protein with caloric deficit.

I have been cutting for 4 days and I feel really tired. I have been eating at a 20% deficit using Scooby's calorie calculator. The problem is that my energy levels are very low and I find it hard to consentrate in class. Coffee helps a little, but not enough so I could do everything I have to do in the day. I also find it hard to fall asleep with the hunger which makes it worse. Will this pass? I don't think this is sustainable for me, but if it will pass I could suck it up for a little while.

A quarter of the way through 2016. What have you achieved so far /fit/?
Started SL 5x5 mid January.
Squat: 90kg
Bench: 57.5kg
Row: 67.5kg
Deadlift: 125kg
Overhead Press: 37.5kg
Pulled my left soleus and kept squatting through it for a week, so going to have to stop squatting for a week or so for it to heal.
Started SS in mid February
Squat: 102.5kg
Deadlift: 115kg
Bench: 77.5kg
Press: 47.5kg
Started SS yesterday
Squat: 160kg
Bench: 100kg

Why do you continue to spend hundreds if not thousands a year on nutrition and gym membership when the most effective way to improve yourself physically is literally to walk into a plastic surgery clinic?
That's not to say you quit lifting entirely, but you prioritize improving your face before your body.
Nice way to generalize everybody who lifts, apperently we all lift for looks lmao.
Plastic surgery costs tens of thousands of dollars, much more than lifting.
Being someone who was born with symmetrical features, not really. I can see how u can make that argument, i've dated insecure girls from all races and a few common surgeries, like nose jobs and eye jobs (asians) came up.
But for me it's literally just about improving the body. Mind > Mental in most cases, but there's a lot of good research on Body > Mind lately.

Hey /fit/, what meals do you guys eat to stay healthy? I'm not talking about bulking up but possibly losing weight?
It seems like everything healthy requires a decent amount of prep. Does /fit/ know of quick healthy meals?

Anyway how much time do you have to cook? You can whip something up in 10 to 30 minutes, easy.
Step 1: Go into your supermarket
Step 2: Buy two packs of literally every unique frozen vegetable available
Step 3: Eat a minimum of 1000 cals worth of those veggies every day
That always keeps me on track anyway. Healthy as fuck and it especially helps me as an endurance athlete. I can maintain a low BF% all year round.

Usually not a lot of time. I go to school and work full time so I really am looking for quick and easy. I have meal prepped before but it ended up being a couple hour ordeal and at the end of the week the meals tasted terrible.

If you want to cut first, that's fine, but skinny fat people have absolutely no muscle. I myself am skinny fat and bulking right now while doing ICF 5x5, and I am larger than most of the guys, and stronger. I'm in my third month so I'm not even intermediate on most of my lifts, but to me getting bigger as fast as I can is all that mattered. I cut the first two months, weights started getting...
