Okay, so apparently I'm retarded or something because I've read and read and read endless amounts of sites and wikis and I'm more confused now than before. I just want someone to tell me very simply what to do. I'm 18 years old at about 5'11 and I weigh 200 lbs. I eat about 2,000 calories a day my activity consists of walking about a mile a day and sitting the rest. I don't want 12 paragraphs of how digestion works or what a 35 year-old woman can do in 30 minutes, I just want someone to tell what exercise I should do and for how long. I already know I should eat less than I burn but I just don't know where to start or how to go about exercising. Can someone give a starter some pointers for simple exercises please?

how to sleep like a normal person? I always had difficulties falling asleep, but for most time I just lie hour-two and finally do it. But Im left completely depressed when it happens before a training day, because I cant do shit in the gym, have to skip the training and be taken few days back in progress. I know all the usual talk about sleep hygiene but I live in a poor dormitory and it really has no use there. Anybody knows any secret methods, please fitbros

5'9", 153lbs. I've been cutting for summer, but I was told by many to just bulk. Their reasoning was that my physique will look weird as I don't have enough muscle, and I would have to cut to a really low amount before my muscles would pop.

What do you think, /fit/? Should I continue cutting, or bulk?

I'll be honest, I originally started lifting as a horny 17 year old to appeal more to girls.

Almost 4 years later, I lift for myself.
I lift because it has become second nature to me.
I lift because of the way it makes me feel: just me, my body, and improving/maintaining it.
I lift because, unless I have gone to the gym that day, there is too much energy inside of me to fall asleep.

I started lifting around november of 2014 because i got struck by a chronic possibly debilitating disease.

And now i squat 440, deadlift 485 and bench close to 3pl8, and ill keep going. I like feeling strong and capable, complete opposite of what you'd expect from someone wtih this disease.

Should be good for 465ish squat by now, and possibly 505 deadlift. 315 should be within reach in 3-4 weeks.

So yea, for myself basically.
