Gaining weight despite working out and eating healthier?
The pic on the left was taken in January when I decided to eat healthier/more. I'm 5'1, 22 years old, and weighed 108lbs (my heaviest yet underweight) so I wanted to lose weight. I've always had an ED by the way.
Breakfast was
>Pack of Belvita breakfast biscuits 230 calories
>chocolate peanut butter granola bar 120 calories
>protein shake 220 calories before lunch with 26g protein
Lunch was
>BBQ chicken cold cuts on white bread with one slice of American cheese and BBQ sauce
>unhealthy yogurt
Now breakfast is
>oatmeal with honey
>hard boiled egg
>banana
>same protein shake but light, 20g protein and 150 calories
Lunch is
>same cold cuts but folded over on one slice of whole grain bread with no cheese
I cut out HFCS and eat healthy snacks. I just took this pic and I'm 113lbs. I'm gaining weight! It's all in my stomach really and back fat. Also I now have cellulite on the back of my thighs. I'm week 2 into a one month home workout challenge. Everything is getting toned except my stomach/back. What am I doing wrong?

You're eating too much, "rewarding" yourself for working out.
Just think in about 20 years you will have gained so much you'll want to kill yourself. Most middle-aged anorexics die this way.
Need to shred 20-30 pounds of fluff.
Diet so far is
Breakfast: Two cups coffee
Lunch: egg white scramble with spinach. (Somedays I have a protein veg smoothie)
Snack: Apple or Banana
Dinner: 4g protein, carb, and veggies (400-500 cals)
Workout
Run 10-15 mins 3-5 days a week
Lift arms (2 days a week)
Legs (3 days a week)
Do you think I could lose said weight doing this or am I just going to stay put?

Same, It's a brutal cycle. I procrastinate Monday night in doing my homework; so I stay up really late and get <5 hours of sleep. The rest of the week, I'm so sleep deprived, doing any mental activity takes forever. Try melatonin/weed if you really can't fall asleep.

Today I was in the gym and had a discussion with three bigger guys I usually chat sometimes with during my sets and today we talked about squat depth:
My standpoint was that going below parallel is sure more stressing on the knee joints but you are not able to use that much weight like if you are squatting just to parallel. Thus the stress is balanced out.
And all three disagreed and said that
1. Squatting only to parallel is the most natural postition
2. going further damages the miniscus
3. knees over toes is bad for knee joint
Then I talked about Oly lifters and their abilities to go very deep and with knees over toes but they all said that Oly lifters are destroying their knees this way
So I went out of arguments.
Keep in mind I am a lot smaller than those guys, so what should I do /fit/? What arguments could I use?
Are their points myths or true?

Long story short, I was dumped by my girlfriend a few days ago. She kept saying that my body didn't have any kind of importance, but I can't believe that a cute girl like her would actually enjoy being with a fat fuck like me.
I decided to improve a few aspects of my life to prove that I can offer more than she knew. In order to do that, I decided to loose a shitton of weight.
I'm probably 140+ kg right now, and I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis a few years ago. It's similar to Crohn's disease, as it's a malfunction of the digestive truct, provoking almost constant internal bleeding. Also, I can't eat fibers without suffering the consequences.
So with that, I have to loose 60+ kilograms knowing I can't follow regular diets, and I will suffer from anemia most of the time. I'm not afraid of the ammount of work I will have to provide, but I'm afraid of degrading my health further doing so.
Anyone here with the same kind of problem and/or disease? What do you eat? How do you adapt working out and doing cardio? Any tips for really fat people willing to loose weight? Things I should absolutely avoid? (I've read the sticky, but I couldn't find an anwser to thosr questions.)

OP I feel your pain. I was diagnosed with UC about 2 years ago. I was so fucking miserable and depressed before I got diagnosed. Seriously thought I was dying.
Anyway I was prescribed 2.4 gm of Lialda and it literally changed my life. No more bleeding, I can eat anything I want, drink alcohol, smoke, you name it. Not sure what your DR has you on but I would ask for some Lialda samples asap if you have never tried this drug.

So today I'm changing up my normal routine and switching my gym time from evening to early morning as soon as I wake up.
Is there any benefits to going as soon as you wake up vs going later in the day.
Did the early morning session today and right now one positive benefit I'm noticing is that I feel like a million bucks, I'm energized and ready to take on this day, and now I have more free time in the evenings.
So /fit/, is there any other benefits to going to the gym at the crack of dawn?
