So what is you all drinking for new years eve?
Besides beer, that is.
Dont want to get totally shitfaced, but want to get something somewhat high proof and tasty.
Things I had so far and results
>martinis + M*A*S*H watching - I dont really remember anything, besides the fact that I hate martini
>whiskey - quite nice, but you either waste money drinking good whiskey after a while, or you are getting a terrible headache from drinking shit whiskey, after the first rounds of the good stuff
>whine - essentially same as whiskey. Kinda a waste to drink it for the sake of drinking, way too complex.
>ice...

Leaning towards an easy cocktail and/or longdrink and or highball, so far.
Currently, I like whiskey sour (and other sours for that matter), and not too sweet stuff with citrus fruits.
Maybe I should research in this direction?
bumb
It says there is cheddar cheese but I never taste it
Even still this is the best Italian sauce I've had

ebin meme
i ate a lot of the Aldi store brand spaghetti Os growing up that dont have the cheese in it, and when i eat the name brand Spaghetti Os i can definitely taste the difference. honestly i prefer it without the cheese
CGC thread, got a favorite CGC?
i made a big batch of pasta dough the other day with eggs since i got a pasta machine.
How long will it keep in the fridge for?
>>7211764
I've done up to a few days in plastic wrap. Maybe 1 or 2 days for already rolled and shaped pasta. Shirt turns nasty brown.
>>7212146
Accurate.
You can get longer with a foodsaver. I've had good results after freezing it for months.
Until you see white spots on it
Does anybody else on /ck/ like eating peanut butter off of their hands?
>>7211364
No because I'm not a caveman.
Also le epic trypophobia meme xD
Is it just me or are most pork bone broth-based ramen really salty?

tell them to add less salt
It's the nips revenge for getting nuked.
Don't they understand we were just trying to introduce microwaves to their culture?
They were still cooking with fire, for gods sake; the primitives!

but tonkotsu is so good.
For Christmas I got a giant martini glass and a bottle of that Jack Daniels honey whiskey (From different people). So I made a new drink out of what else I had laying around. Pic related.
The result is delicious. Reminds me of a really nice restaurant I used to go to and get girly drinks (I think they used a lot of pineapple) what should I name it? It's got all the citrus flavors (lime, pineapple, orange) but the honey really softens it. It's yum.
Also tell me about drinks you've created.
Brandy Soda and Lime
I invented it
>>7211264
yeeeks. Just regular soda? That taste alright? You need a name for it. How about The Boy is Mine.
What do you think of fruitcake? There's a store near my home that sells the greatest fruitcake of all time but only during christmas, of course, and I fucking wait all year for it. Every other fruitcake I've tried is either decent or just horribly dry.
love it
heaps of sultanas not so much of those sugar cherries everyone seems to love
almonds and roasted walnuts
almond icing to top it all off
Love it. I got a very nice one this year for Christmas
Fruitcake is awesome. Even the less-good fruitcakes are still good. I was going to serve a fruitcake I've been aging for Christmas, but wound up with too many baked goods besides. So I'll have on New Year's Eve.
Does anybody else have a desire to go to various fast food headquarters and museums?

Pic related is the McDonald's Museum in Des Plaines, IL. I live in the area so I've been there. Pretty sweet since it's all original 1950s equipment inside.
>>7211075
Do they still sell 15c burgers?
>>7211082
The museum isn't operational, but there's conveniently a brand new McDonald's right across the street from it.
>>7211075
not really
the first ever tim hortons (has a little "museum" bit dedicated in store) is down the road from me though, wish they didn't tear the old one down to rebuild a new one on top.
I work at Sugerfire in MIssouri as a pit guy. Ask me anything.

Can you post your dick?
Will they make me a big mac with chicken paddies instead of hamburger? I'm willing to pay the ultimate price.

They should
probably not even though it sounds like a good idea they probably figure there aren't enough customers for it.
Give me a recipe from these ingredients:
Canned pinto beans
Canned peas
Canned green beans
Tomato paste
Fettuccine noodles
Eggs
American cheese
Red bell pepper
Carrots
Tons of basic seasonings
>>7210772
>nothing in the house
>has 9 edible things in his possession
Hmm...
You have everything to make a pretty good carbonara.
>>7210772
dice the red pepper and grate about 1/3rd the carrot into the tomato sauce, add water and buillion(if you have it) and chili spces to the pot(chili, cumin, oregano onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper and hot sauce pr whatever)
simmer until the carrots are basically gone, then add the beans and simmer until good. Vegetarian chili
>wa la
cook the pasta for 6 minutes and drain, but don't rinse.
warm the green beans and peas in whatever cooking fat you have(generous...

Hey /ck/
I'm experimenting with Chinese cooking and trying to learn more about the basics.
If I am making a basic chicken lo mein, can I simply use spaghetti noodles? Do I have to pay more for Asian noodles?
Well I mean you could if you really wanted to.
spag would get you something like HK style fusion. Still good, but not quite authentic.
Thoughts on meme cookers?
I kind of like them. Beef, venison and kangaroo just has pretty consistent results. I mainly use it for making bulk quantities of yoghurt. I rarely use it for poultry though. It doesn't hurt that I have an endless supply of zip lock bags.
>>7210635
Immersion cookers have existed for centuries...
>Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit
>>7210629
It tastes good though
Those're fuckin' delicious.
I've only been to WB once (was in Austin for 2 days).
I got a regular burger. It was ok. Better than McDonald's, but that's not saying much.
Am I missing something? If I go back, what should I get?
