How are sardines even MEANT to compete with the iconic, irresistible taste of Heinz Baked Beans? I simply think that the literally can not compete with Heinz. Anyone else feel the same? Just look at the processing the fish goes through. And who could even say they WANT to eat THIS?

One canned superfood to well, a , festering, rotting, oily, salty, canned "food". You are right. Sardines aren't even in the same LEAGUE as baked beans. My apologies.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted and have not eaten solid food in 4 days. I should be able to eat solid food again tomorrow or the day after. What should I eat? Give me some recommendations.
I was thinking of pic related.

I've been applying for new restaurant jobs. I'm curious what you other line cooks & chefs have on your résumé as far as general industry job descriptions go.

Here are some I have so far...

-responsible for putting orders away

-maintained clean and organized walk-in coolers and dry storage areas

-properly closed down kitchen by following outlined procedures

I'm not sure what is on my resume. My mom writes it and makes it look good. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't have job descriptions, it's just titles and job duration.

Just got this beautiful beast today and will be christening it with a first attempt at cauliflower soup!

Poorfag here, got a 9 piece steel nonstick Kitchenaid set on sale for $100 Canadian.

Made some Singapore noodles and they turned out pretty good, also got a streamer so I can buy some noodles and not have to worry about burning my hand to get the water out.

Sup /ck/, so I'm moving out soon and I need to get a convection oven cause the place I found doesn't have an oven and I was wondering what the best cheap convection oven is around that you can get?

I've tried the Breville Pro but I was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative that is almost as good from a different manufacturer?

How come I ain't never seen this cheese on here before?

Challerhocker! Flavor wise, it's like a hybrid of parmesan and blue cheese but is technically Swiss cheese. Nice and tart but still funky, sans any ammoniated flavors. Just grated some on my eggs and toast and really enjoyed it. Gonna make a sauce out of it to go with some pasta and roasted chicken later I think. That's all I have to say.

Hi /ck/ I came to you looking for help.

I hope this is the right place.

I'm a single guy working a demanding job. I find that I'm not eating healthy most of the time. I eat a lot of potato chips and drink a lot of soda.

I simply don't want to spend what little time I have preparing food. Also I'm just not that good of a cook.

I can [pan fry ?] a pretty mean steak every once in a while and it goes good with some steamed and then fried veggies. I can also prepare eggs in its various forms, be it scrambled, cooked or fried. And ramon noodles - love 'em.

I'm looking for some simple food ideas that are wholesome and easy to prepare and that won't take a lot of time. Any ideas /ck/ ?

tl;dr

Food ideas for the single bachelor that doesn't have a lot of time for food preparation.

Curries and stews require little more than searing some meat and chopping up some vegetables. Same with oven roasted root vegetables. Just set aside some time two days week to make meals that will last for days.
>>
Start by packing your lunch. Sandwiches can be wholesome if you male them right. Raw fruit and veggies. Grapes, mandarins, and apples are some of my favorites. Do you have a crock pot? There are LOTS of slow cooker meals that have little prep time and are ready when you get home. They also provide leftovers for lunch if you have a microwave.

Biggest thing for me is making the healthy foods convenient and the chips inconvenient. I but cantaloupe, but it up and put it in bags so it's ready to grab, but leave my chips in the big bag.

fancy looking desserts are literally just desserts that look fancy
you have to be good with your hands, you can't have a magic recipe that makes things look better than you can make them
if you want a recipe that's hard to fuck up and interesting style points

So, I found a recipe for a brazilian pork stew online, looks pretty good. Never made it before, so I'm probably gonna fuck up somewhere. Feel free to yell advice. Like, red wine in a pork stew? that sounded a little off to me. Surely white if anything? P.S. the meat I'm making it with is pork shoulder and pork cheek, with a little black pudding thrown in towards the end. Might do some beef suet dumplings too, iunno yet.

Oh, I'm also listening to nostalgic music, figure I may as well share it with you guys. Why not post music you enjoy cooking to as well?

JESUS CHRIST MY EYES! Also, does anyone know if pork cheek takes longer to stew than shoulder? when cutting the meat, it felt quite a bit tougher.

Browning the meat off. The cheek is a bit darker.

Dude, what? Of course red.

An evil demon appears before you and gives you a choice. One of these groups will disappear forever, the other will double in size:

1. White people who only eat flavorless grey goo and make gagging noises when they see, taste, or smell anything good

2. White people who are overzealous about other people's culture and get butthurt when they don't get chopsticks at a Thai restaurant

Which do you choose?
