Why do people act like a sandwich without a condiment is dry?.
>mfw lettuce and tomato are 98-99% water.
>>7337596
fat gives a different kind of moisture compared to water
Who acts like that?
A real sandwich only needs meat and cheese
Most people on /ck/ these days seem to be afraid of tomatoes, and mayo is the complete opposite of wet regardless.
a) Reading?
b) Gaming?
c) Camping?
>>7337522
why do you need a snack food for gaming/reading? just eat a meal if you're hungry. the only reason to have a snack is if your meal isn't ready and you're too hungry to wait.
>>7337522
>a) Reading?
Nothing, just read
>b) Gaming?
Nothing, just play
c) Camping?
Nothing, just camp
The best snack is none so you will actually pay attention to what you're doing rather than having your mind on the DOREETS.

There an easy way to get kvass in the states? Will it keep if I buy it off of amazon or whatever?

Just make it yourself.
Kvass tastes like ass, don't bother.
Actually most japanese people (especially people who live in Tokyo or other megalopolis) dont know that a part of japanese eats dolphins.
People need to stop thinking that just people some people like eating a thing in a county, it doesn't mean everyone likes it there. Stop using the word 'delicacy' to describe bizarre foods. It's like calling Pig Feet a delicacy or Potato Salad a delicacy. It's not liked by everyone. It's just food that some people like
I lived in southern Chiba for a while and thought whales were pretty ordinary to be sold in supermarkets, but apparently that's not the case in the rest of the country. Never heard of or seen dolphins being sold though.
>>7339486
Whales are ordianary, but I feel like dolphins are valued higher as they are more rare..
May be why you haven't seen many

I am confused as I have seen articles such as this one here https://www.healthyeating.org/Portals/0/Documents/Health%20Wellness/White%20Papers/colon_cancer_consumer.pdf say that it's good to eat dairy to prevent cancer.
How the fuck does that make sense? I thought dairy was one of the leading causes of colon cancer.
What is the truth behind all this.
>I thought dairy was one of the leading causes of colon cancer.
Vegan propaganda. Don't believe their lies
Supposedly dairy raises the risk of some forms of cancer, and lowers the risk of others.
Everything causes cancer depending on who you ask, hell clowns probably do too in some way or form.

Cottage cheese (no low fat low salt shut. Just the crumbly creamy kind) pepper, salt, foccacia. Also vegemite if you have it. Accept no substitutes.
1. toast 2 slices of foccacia.
2. Spread an INCREDIBLY SMALL portion if vegemite onto each of them (enough to barely cover the surface area, and not thick at all)
3. Spread cottage cheese on them to taste.
4. Slice thick slices if tomato onto the cottage cheese.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Eat
7. Reminisce. And wish you were back...

Can anyone tell me if this recipe is any good and if it would be good for tacos?
http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/barbacoa-recipe/
Britfag here so this is a recipe I can actually get all the ingredients for
It sounds good to me. I would definitely sear it first, as that's the closest you'll get to the char that barbacoa usually has. By tacos, do you mean hard corn shell? I think this would go down better as a burrito, but to each their own.
>>7338987
britfag here too lad, where are you getting your soft corn tortillas from?
>>7339001
Nah soft tortillas. I was already making fish tacos but I'm feeding more people now so thought I'd set up a taco bar type thing and people can help themselves to what they want
>>7339003
I'll probably just go with flour tortillas as the corn ones in the supermarket don't tend to be great. (unless there's some way to improve them?) I've been meaning to get some masa harina online to make my own but there's things I need more...

What the hell is with the current trend of name branding fruit...
fancy schmancy marketing
Where I live we only get two brands of clementines or mandarin oranges. The Cutie's brand is always better than the other one. They're sweeter and not bruised or mouldy, while the other brand usually has at least one blackened citrus in the bag, and they're mealy sort of.
Hey /ck/, have you ever had vegetables with peanut butter?
lazy man's satay. yes.
I've cooked african peanut butter and chicken stew with some vegetables.

Also, if you find the time to throw this stuff in a pan with some spices and coconutmilk you'll be golden.
What is the best canned clam chowder?
I'm about to make a can of Snows/Bumblebee ready to serve, and was looking for insight with what may be better.
>inb4 make your own
Of course that's better, but I need canned as a convenient go to option
Also, I just moved away from Progresso Traditional
I make the following modifications:
>add 1 can of clams for one can of chowder
>add half and half
>add butter
>add...

>>7338861
The modifications sound good. Do you add salt? What's the DV% on the sodium?
>>7338977
A 150g can of clams has about 800mg. I don't know if draining it removes any salt. The chowder itself already has 2300mg.
I don't know if OP eats the whole thing in one meal.
But I don't recommend adding salt to it.
Alright ck lets get your homemade recipes going. I just had some delicious burritos made thusly: Cook two diced chicken thighs with cumin and salt in a pan. Remove chicken then saute one half purple onion and three large jalepanos diced.
Remove onions and jalapenos and ad three tablspoons cream cheese and one can of your favorite caned chile to the pan and mix thoroughly. Combine all of the prepared ingredients and serve in tortillas with your favorite toppings. This is definitely bachelor tier food but still super tasty. Pic unrelated.

I ate some great stuffed mushrooms at a chinese place.
No idea what the recipe was, but decided to replicate it.
Mushrooms filled with cream cheese, bacon pepper, and baked in a pan with olive oil.
Not the same, but both were equally great.
chocolate no-bake cookies:
>1/2 cup milk
>2 cups sugar
Mix those two and bring to a boil on high for 1 minute. Exactly one minute. Then take it off the heat immediately and add in:
>1/2 stick butter
>1/2 cup peanut butter
>1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Mix it all up until melted and smooth then add in about 3 cups rice krispies or oatmeal. Adjust for texture. Then spoon out in cookie sized drops onto...
